"Same shit", not quite, you're claiming that war/nin can't outdamage a Blm, but in reality you just proved the point to as why a War/nin can.

War/nin has Utsusemi, when they draw hate, they tank, no biggy. Blm does not, either they hold back, thus gimping their potential, or go all out and die, again gimping their potential.

War/nin has unlimited potential to DD due to the ability to tank, thus is the exact reason why Nny's posts are valid.

Edit: Also when I meant in context of "Not holding back," I didn't mean doing stupid shit like chain nuking Thunder IV every time recast comes up. Generally we only nuke on chains, and very rarely do any of us die before the very end of the fight. Half the time we just don't care if we die, since the fight is a pushover, but its not hard to be conservative and to know how to ride just under the threshold, as most of the Blms do.

Nynja implied that we hold back because we have a tank who can't keep hate, and thats not so, we push the hate threshold.

Nor do i see whats to even lie about. How do you argue that War can be a great DD but not understand why it can produce top numbers in a Faf LS with Blms who aren't either A.) gimping themselves or B.) overnuking and getting themselves killed?

Nynja is claiming that with a war tank you have a lower hate threshold to work with. I don't see how any of what you said contradicts his viewpoint.

The way to dispute his point would be to post parses showing damage totals and/or times to kill. If one ls averages 15 mins a kill and another averages 25 mins a kill I think we all know who is holding back.

10-15 minute kills (Depending on who shows up) when I used to go, and I don't have my parser data but I've posted them in the past.

EDIT:

NINs do on-par/slightly less damage (Depending on how suicidal) then BLMs aswell, while giving the mob less TP.

I wouldn't be suprised if PLD/NIN's better to do being able to cure BLMs when they get hate (I did WAR/WHM at Tiamat and really got to experience just how powerful curing is) so BLMs can go even more crazy with them. But weather it's a WAR, NIN, or PLD, you're looking at ~10ish minute kills, so it's not like it makes a dammed of a difference.

What the point trying to be made was, before this all went horribly off topic, is the ability of Warrior to be both a tank and a full fledged, and veyr powerful DD. Who outdamages who when really isn't important, you don't have to be on top of the parser to be a good DD, and adding in tanking with those numbers is pretty impressive. Whether its better than the hate Pld/nins on Bahamut produce, that'll never really be known, but its also really not important, whats important is that it can be done, and effectively.

I'm really the only one that got anything, Ridill hardly ever drops for us and only one other WAR has E.body. The other WARs used simple things like Dual axes and Haubergeons.

As for me, I stopped for serveral reasons (And no, "I got my shit, why should I come" wasn't one of them). None of which you know of nor have the right to speak on.

i agree with nynja that you more then likely cannot do both tanking and DD to 100%. but a level 75 NIN damn near can, using a haste/STR/acc set up.


as for the person that says with +65 evasion that it never missed. i kinda laugh at that cause my DRK evades IT monsters.

I was the 4th person in my linkshell to get Ridill, two of which quit or IGE'd their accounts prior to me getting mine. Two went to DRKs (one IGEd), and one went to a non-tanking WAR (Quit).

I was the first NA WAR to get E.body, but two of our DRKs got them before me. I also didn't get mine until this past July, since there was a JP LS that would only show up when Nidhogg was due and won the majority of the pulls.

My LS has been killing Fafnir for nearly a year and a half now.
