75 DD NIN can deal massive dmg and easily tank, harder before that. About BLMs having to hold back...thats not really true if your tanks know what they're doing. When we do PLD/NIN...our blms chainnuke thuder iv. They don't dick around, they never stop casting. Blm gets hate, toss out a cure iv, hate is back, continue on. I don't comprehend this "holding back" thing.

everybody holds back. unless your BLMs go into the pull the same way they go into a DL fight, than they are holding back. i guarantee that BG BLMs do not hop into the pit vs Fafnir the same way we engage DL.

if you can still kill under 15 minutes than your tanks are doing what they are suppose to do. people are holding back but at a very reasonable and manageable hate threshold for that particular NM at this particular point in time.

It was about wether or not a NIN(a tank) could DD and still successfully tank in an XP PT. Some people think they cant, others think they can. WAR which is also a tank and a DD naturally got into the discussion. Not too hard to realize how the two eventually got related.
