This video...

made really think about things. It made me think about why I play this game still. I've done everything. Killed just about every mob ('sides JoL/AV). Experienced all kinds of situations.

I became what I wanted to be when I started. I wanted to kill all the endgame HNM that BG was killing (seeing as my friend Deus was in the LS at the time). I wanted to level at least two jobs to 75, and have them be useful jobs to help people as much as I could.

Well, I achieved all that. And more. I added another two 75s to the list, and killed everything and have cleared all the dynamis zones released up to this point. Even with all that, I feel like.... there's something else there. That there's got to be something that we haven't seen yet. Something... and it will be worth our time, work, and energy to be a part of it.

Videos like this hit me pretty hard because they make me stop and think about why I still play.



I play because of what is in store in the future.

A 75 can be so helpful! If you're bored, here's my suggestion.
Go Sandy/Windy/Basty/Jeuno, do the following shout:
"Is there anyone who needs help with anything? BLM75/RDM37 at your disposition"
I'm sure each time you do the following shout, at least 1 will send you a /tell.

You'll meet more people and make more friends and feel more useful.
How do you think you got 75? Wasn't there people who helped you with:
-Subjobs items
-Unlocking Advanced Jobs
-Do Missions or Quests with you
-Helped you with Genkais/Limit Breaks
-Helped you with your Artifacts
-Helped you get a test for Maat
-Helped you get Sky or Sea access
-Helped you with the promys
-Helped you with money or even camp notorious monsters along with you
-Helped you with anything I might have not mentionned.

Remember this, you are not alone, you're now a 75 thanks to the help of many. Help is always appreciated (I don't know someone who hates being helped). What do you think of my suggestions?

I recently got my 3rd job to 75 not long ago. I now have BRD75 SMN75 and BST75, sadly, I still feel worthless. I thought I'd have so much fun once I got BST to 75, but I can't think of anything worth doing. Especially since the nerf. Any kind of end-game fun requires at least 17 other people, which is what I hate most about FFXI, the lack of independance. I used to love watching Recollection, it gave me more inspiration than BG's videos. Now it just reminds me of how things used to be, and how some things will never be. I wish helping lowbs still made me feel better, but so much has changed lately that its not worth the time and effort anymore. Theres too many gil sellers, buyers, and back-stabbers in disguise these days.

On a positive note its always possible to log off and play something else.

The funniest and saddest thing in the game is when someone you helped do genkai's and af for calls you a noob or treats you like shit once they hit 75 and joined a hnmls. It's happened at least seven or eight times so far, same reason I don't go to KI anymore.

The real world isn't perfect, same for ffxi.
There's that HNM LS leader I know who was such a good guy before and turned evil & selfish. Nothing you can do about it.
