    Yeah I do this sometimes but it's freaking like 30k profit per stack, and they don't sell THAT fast. So I can maybe make 500k a day if I sit and keep crafting and crafting and hoping people are buying mine. Whereas I can camp a single NM and if I beat gilsellers (if I camp all day I get 1-2 drops usually since it's 100%) I can sell that for 2m. So yeah, tell me something useful to fund Cloth from 88 to 100 ; ;

    Ok... so you are saying you would rather chance not getting the NM or the drop even, than to make a 100% chance of crafting and gaining profit. And buy the way, velvet cloth sells fast all day every day and usually runs out of stock. So your 7 stacks will sell within an hour.

    If you are an 88+ Clothcrafter(or any crafter before it gets fixed lol) and you are having fight gil sellers to camp a NM that drops a 2mil item once or twice all day, you need to think about the amount if gil per hour.

    It is like trying to party pulling IT++ sure you might get 200+xp per kill but how long did it take you to kill it? and how long was your down time?

    Take your craft back to its roots, some of the most profitable items are right there and very easy to get a hold of through guilds and even desynthing(*hint hint*).

    Many more really cool stuff you just have to know your server economy and do some research.

    I am not a high level crafter, but it blows my mind how some people get to 70+ and do not know how to make money with thier craft.

    Bottom line is I know this stuff works because I've had to do it ALOT more that I want to admit. You don't think that crafters hit 100 then do stupid (too agressive) shit that doesn't always work out? What do you think we do when we blow all our money doing something dumb and be sitting there with 600gil to our names and a blue 100 next to our craft? Same things that you guys gripe about doing.

    I find it hilarious the number of crafters that get to 100 then 'all the sudden' can't make any gil in their craft. Being 100 is a blessing in the fact that you can make and/or HQ any synth in the game as good as anyone else. Doesn't mean that all you are allowed to synth is stuff 90+. Getting a lucky streak and going 10/12 on Black Cape +1's works too.

    I am 73 Clothcraft, and I have farmed all of the materials I have used to level it up, except for Black Chocobo Feathers, and also buying Crawler Cocoons and sheep wool from the Guild, for very very cheap, but nothing else! I don't have leather or smithing leveled yet either, so can't try and HQ Seer's or Baron's and such

    Our economy sucks, I can make a bit doing stuff like velvet cloth or HQing Seer's and hoping my luck is good enough to barely make a profit. Most synths I could do (Black Cape, Red Cape, etc) that should be a good profit have turned out to where I have to HQ 5 of 12 just to make anything, which takes a lot of luck, and I always have bad luck ; ;

    I get the NM once or twice a day if I only camp like 5 hours, and it's a 100% drop rate. If I spent an entire day there I make 2-4m easily, which is typically more than I can with Velvet Cloth or any other such synth. I would go for some bigger HQs that can really make me money but I don't have much capital. Any new ideas works for me >.>

    Uh, if you spent all day making/selling grind synths (velvet cloth is only one of many) you could make 2-4m per day AND you can participate in Jeuno shout fights. Win.

    Well you asked what the best path is, and we stated Rainbow *by far* is the best. Alot of other people came in and bitched that this route is too hard so they recevied internet whippings they will never forget j/k

    I did Rainbow, it was super easy and the gil was pretty decent >.>

    And I guess I'll give it a shot Aurik though I never have all day because I work 40 hrs/week during Christmas break and have to do 3 sky farms a week now for the LS ; ;

    Crafting and trying to do successful endgame will make you kill yourself before you ever win at either.

    Bring stacks of materials to god fights, if your LS is anything like mine (which I left on good terms because, well, Raineer's right) the longest part of sky is waiting for the damn ??? to repop.

    15 minute repop = 2 stacks of velvet/silk/what-have-you.

    Behemoth camps are even better, I would just warp back to jeuno after each window to dump off cloth and pick up more thread.
