UK Xbox Magazine was delayed til monday, by the way guys. And it only requires XBL Silver (the free version).

I'll be getting it then and I'll be starting as a galka in San d'Oria (cos galka BRD pwn). Melee RDM 4tw.

Plenty of quests that give ok-ish low level equipment that you can do in a couple of hours. In all honesty at low levels skill > equipment. Sure it'll be tough, but it will be fun.

I want FFXI private servers so I can try the relic weapons.

Best way to level up on those servers would be against VTs. You don't need snipers, can do well with NQ gear, strength rings, Conquest items, AF, etc.

I'll go as bard.

A good way to go is:

WAR WAR WAR WHM RDM BLM to 37
Get airship pass, chocobo, rank 5, kazham, unlock SJ's etc.
then
PLD NIN NIN BRD (WHMorBLM) WHM for subjobs for corresponding jobs above)
We could change one of the WAR/NIN to MNK/WAR

Then at 37, some people switch back, some people stay, to get a static of:
PLD/WAR WAR/NIN x2 BRD/WHM RDM/WHMorBLM BLM/WHM

Then zergrush to 75.

The WHM, BLM and BRD will be pretty much OK for equipment. I mean, camping items will be pretty easy so long as we level fast. If we're the highest level, we can pretty much run into oztroja and grab ochiudo kote and fuma kyahan, go to giddeus and get that BRD staff, do a few BCNM's for astral rings maybe. There's a lot of ra/ex stuff that is pretty nice. Shaman's cloak will be fine for BLM, for example. How would you all like some uncontested Empress Pins, Bounding Boots and Peacock Amulets? Pretty much any piece of equipment that isn't crafted will be fairly easy to get, I would imagine. Hope.

Sounds like so much fun, but I really don't see how it'd be possible to rush to 75 lol. Think about it...

No real way to get Haub, or SH, snipers would be really hard to get. Granted, charm boots and pin would be easy to get. No real way to get sushi. Would have to be willing to settle for pretty low exp. At least we'd all be sporting peacock amulets. Lastly, crafting would be near impossible. Would basically have to farm all the ingredients, and then after synthing anything that isn't consumable, most likely would have to toss it since nobody would be available to buy... Nothing that comes from crafting would be available at all really.
