When I did PC beta I went from Cactuar (Beta) -> Midgardsormr (Retail). Both brand new servers. So it's safe to assume they'll do the same for Xbox360.

Problem still lies on whether or not they let you transfer Beta characters onto Retail.

Probably server side checks whether or not you're connecting through with a certain ID xbox live assigns you. Wouldn't be hard to add that into any data packets that get exchanged with the servers. I think there were 3rd pt apps out there that made it possible to see whether or not someone was running the PC/PS2 or NA/JP client. I doubt it'd be that hard to build in this checking mechanism for xbox360 as well.

I called a few shops here in Amsterdam none of them carry the magazine yet. Count me in as either RDM or NIN. Plus I'll try to level cooking as fast as possible so we can at least get some sort of food processing going while I loot and plunder the guild shops. Meat miths are only lvl36 anyway shouldn't take more then a few days to get there if I save up on earth crystals and fire crystals. Insect paste ftw!

This is true. Some of the higher level people on the server were NQ jobs like WHM, BLM and WAR. A few though did get advanced jobs fairly high though, PLD, BST56 (Highest level person on Cactuar) etc. Not gonna get very far if you gotta support a job like NIN on a fresh new server (Now that I think about it... Actually makes sense why they gave us Rise of Zilart like the last month of beta. Only if you were 40+ before September or somethin though!).

paladin wouldnt be immpossible. though it would slow overall progression to have to wait for someone to level a third job. i say warrior tanks all teh f'in way. make that WHM work for a living. and if the monks steal hate oh well make that whm and RDM work for a living.
