I never said i outparsed the war with ridill, i said i kept up with him. ridill/joy war was ahead by 50dmg per fight and the jugg/joy war was below me by 50. The person who parsed the fights (war w/ ridill/joy) did not save that data so I dont have hard proof. but the next time we PT, i'll make sure that he saves it and show it to you if you dont believe me.

I'm so tired of Jugg it's not even funny, unless your below level 73 this thing sucks. Maneater blows it out of the water. not that thats what your saying, I just, I feel the need to say this anytime I see a juggernaut.

Something struck me about Juggy vs. Maneater, under the condition of having a Ridill. I haven't parsed it, but the thought occured to me that the extra 12 atk from juggy might help bring up the dmg per swing w/ ridill. Haven't parsed it, but it occured to me.

And the 5acc from maneater will bring up the acc of ridill, plus maneater has 3 more base damage.

Oh yea, I did check it out and barone+war af2 pants are fugly. I would get unicorn if it didnt cost 40m on bahamut...so looks like I'm using fighters calligae again.

If your equipment is atk based then i really doubt 12 atk will make that much of a difference. I have 6 lvls of both axe/sword and my ridill atks does just as much as my maneater on ule demons. Of course, this is with 2 brds with double minu and i dont think i'll ever pt w/o a brd to test otherwise.

Maneater/Ridill all the way, it's not even funny. 94.5% accuracy on Uleg.Range demons, and thats while being blinded a portion of the time (like..5-10%) I also have 6axe/6sword...probably would have dumped more into sword, but I feel they're both beneficial in their own way.

Definately sell a Juggy once you hit 73 though everyone...don't go with what you think is better, Maneater has lower delay, higher base damage, and just overral will bring up your DoT.

I'm in Stormos' set (I would be the Ridill / Joy WAR). I was also the one doing the parsing.

Next time we PT I can post a new parse if you don't believe it. We were fighting Dec Weapons (Olla side) at 70-71.

I parsed about 1450 dmg per fight, Stormos as SAM/WAR parsed 1400. Halfway through the party I switched to Jugg / Ridill to cap my axe for 71 and my parse stayed about the same (dropped by ~5 points per battle) and everything else stayed the same.

The Jugger / Joy WAR was parsing about 1150 a battle.

I was amazed at Stormos' accuracy with a sword (he has some sword merits, good equipment, and we have a bard though) and sometimes his vorpals would outdamage mine (not often but it did happen) which is rediculous D;/

We're all well equipped, etc. I have 7 sword merits, can't remember how many Stormos has. Not sure if our Jugger / Joy WAR has any weapon merits.

Probably the fact that you guys were 70-71. Im thinking at 75 things would seperate alil more in the favor of WAR, I could be wrong though. With this said...perhaps you're gimping yourself by subhanding Joy? Perhaps the benefits of dualwield dont make up for the complete dominance of Ridill in main-hand? I'd like to test that.

I'm positive that WAR will pull far and away by 75 (probably starting at 73 with full Hecatomb for WS) but we just thought it was strange a Ridill SAM could keep up so well, totally weren't expecting it.

I was thinking about the only-Ridill thing but as I didn't have a decent shield on me (Tatami @ 72 I guess ) I didn't feel compelled to try it yet. Wonder how that will work out.

I was thinking about this the other day. taking the delay of your second weapon away might actually make Ridell stronger. but then I got to this thought, yeah you'd probly sub nin just for shadows, but pretending for a second you won't need shadows what would you sub for top damage? I was thinking either sam or drk.

drk would definitely be the best sub for top dmg. It's just suicide tho lol

/cry at Stellvia (Siddeus' LS). Anyway:

    Flame away.

Devis is my mule, and I'm actually thinking of leveling war to 75 with her just to use Ridill, since my odds of ever getting one are slim.

Food/gear setup/ haste amounts/ afk time/ are you main tanking?

I'm just puzzled cause it should not be happening, but I guess at 70/71 its a different story.

Drg might be up there too, acc bonus and haste+attk gear might do that ridill good.

    food: sole sushi
i dont know specifics on his gear
i think he gets hasted not 100%. he also used haste belt for that session i think.
    never afk during fights.
we have a ninja tank but it's usually ikari who's doing the tanking.

I am sure that a sam with ridill will never outparse a war with ridill but my whole point was that even in the hands of a sam, ridill is very much overpowered. It was even better than using a Great Katana.

maybe its just that other weapons are underpowered? XD
