Before things are said, I will tell you this now that we werent at our best. We have so much more potential in us to fight hard and to fight as friends. Our teamwork and friendship was falling apart even before the match had started. If team members read this, we "will" lose if we cant play as friends, and I would rather go down in flames playing with my closest friends than to win and see my teammates as my enemies. Our opponents were very good and organized, but they were fighting us at our lowest point...I hope we can show them our highest.

np I think you did well just got overpowered even through I was baffled by some of your equipment and job formations. I enjoyed it alot good job and effort ^_^

I didn't have a problem with Angelkitty. People hate her and stuff, but I don't really care... I didn't see what was the problem. Until I read this. Are you retarded? If you are going to post about Ballista Royale at least know what the hell you are talking about, god damn.

First off I want to say Maguspk and angelkitty, you two are clearly idiots who know nothing about ballista. I find it increadibly rude of you two to come onto this thread with bashing intent rather than constructive critisism to share in regards to todays teams performances. Team Zing clearly is a very strong and competant team, but even so, everyone has a bad day once and a while. If you haven't watched ANY of they're previous matches, then you clearly don't understand how truly amazing of a team they are. I have confidence they will return stronger this next coming week, and no doubt they will display a far better match.

The shield their WAR uses is called a Spartan Hoplon. HIGHLY effective when used during defensive play, and this particular WAR seemed to have more than enough def. to last a long time, by far longer than most other WARs I have seen.

Galka WHM. IMO a huge majority of they're strength comes from they're galka WHM, who not only has very high def, but also the HP to withstand damage. Although MP might be considered an issue, clearly he had more than enough meds to make up for it.

It's alright, everybody's entitled to their opinion.

We didn't go into tonight's match with the same team chemistry we did in all the previous matches. A lot of drama broke loose in the past 2 weeks during our break and it caused a lot of fighting and angst between team members. If you read the live feed, our THF Radigast makes a shoutout saying he was sorry for selling out his original BR team on Pandemonium to join my team. He's expressed to us multiple times this past week that he was ashamed to be on our team etc. and he only joined because he was afraid he'd lose to me. Whatever though... I'm all about leaving the past in the past and working as a team from today forward. But.... he doesn't share my view so since he already bitched out my friends on the team today, I probably won't play him next Saturday. It's a shame too -- he plays well when he wants to. Couldn't have gotten this far without him, and if we lose in the future, the way I see it- we'll lose but we'll at least have a good time with friends.

Equipment choice and job setups are very specific for Ballista Royale. Because of the 60 cap and lack of subjobs, you have to play every job in a slightly different manner than you're used to in the game. I mean, a Ranger with Earth Staff? While the idea may baffle some, realize that a RNG has absolutely no defense otherwise and makes too easy of a target otherwise. The 20% damage reduction and +5 VIT is extremely helpful. Other things such as the shield on the WAR that provides Phalanx as an enchantment are boons in a 6v6 match where the WAR acts as a procterate using Provoke. I won't bash on the comments made because I'm sure they were made without understanding the depth of this tournament. I doubt we would've come this far in the match if we really sucked so badly that any pickup team could beat us easily.

No excuses tonight though. Despite the reasons behind our shortcomings, we had worthy opponents who definitely played a great match. We were beaten, simple as that. Now it's time to get up and try to retaliate next Saturday. Hopefully drama in our team will be worked out, but seeing as I doubt this will happen, I will be playing our bench most likely, resulting in improper job balances but hey... it's not about winning, it's about fun. At least to me it is

In conclusion, hats off ChaosTheory, you're a great team.

As the team leader of a team who lost in the first round of the ballista royale tournament (not the preliminary in which you only go up against people of your own server), I can tell you first hand just how different these matches are compared to "regular" standard ballista matches. They require so much planning and preparation, as well as an incredible amount of team work, for battles with opponents that are just as primed and ready as they are (and pimped out in equipment and medicine).

Any team that makes it that far does not suck, I can assure you of that.

As said already, the shield on the war in ballista provides phalanx which is an amazing thing to have in this event.

About the Galka whm.. I'd go so far as to say that a Galka whm could possibly be the best choice for ballista royale. He has the hp and vit to back up the cure spells, unlike a taru. Galka whm + elvaan rdm + taru/mithra pld = the best line of defense. Stronger than your average of those jobs verse physical attacks, and only one kind of each job on each team means that their one war cannot cover all 3 healers with provoke (which disables spell casting for the most part).
