Don't feel bad. I only know half of what I'm doing. I know that I'm majoring in Game Design... and I'll be moving to Wisconsin to go to Univ. of Wisconsin again.. but that's all I know ;x

I did 3d graphics and animation in college, but nobody wants to hire me because I have no work experience anywhere. I also tried applying for movie industry 3d / 3d architechtual visualization, etc. all denials.

My plan was to get into the games industry, but... after 2 years of Apply and Denial, I give up. I just work in data entry now , yay for temp jobs -_-. I wasted all that time in college for nothing.

edit: didn't you get a work placement in uni? most courses offer to have you design stuff for professionals (or at that level) for a year to get you some work experience =\

Yeah, they gave me work placement, but they got away with doing it like this : They gave me referalls to companies, one of the wanting to do a 3 day contract.. fun!

It's not the gaming industry that's full, it's ANY graphics industry. Sydney is big on the 3d, alot of holywood movies(lol) are made in Sydney, or their animation team is here. Anything 3d really is packed out.

Those are really good! I love the room one's (I thought the first one was a photo at first lol), the last 2 look funny but it's still great stuff. I guess if you keep it up you'll get a job >.< I wish life was as easy as FFXI.

I'm kinda interested in story too, but I guess on a team of developers your input for story might be needed =O I'm pretty sure you need some kinda writing background though =X

One thing I heard is that game industry/companies like multi-talented people, like someone who can do art work and story, or art work and 3D modelling and so on...

if you have a degree in programming you could always get a commission in the military and get some experiance through there.

i dont know how other countries work but you can in the US military. and if you were to stay in they would pay for your masters and doctorate eventually as well. cept they arent paying for something like a doctorate unless you are col and/or getting close to general/admiral.

I'm a high school sophmore. I take Psychology, Algerbra 2, Economics, Spanish, Atonomy (meh if I spelled that wrong), and english lit. My midterm report card was straight B's lol. So i'd say 10x smarter is going a little over... i'd have to say twice as smart is more likely
