BRD wouldn't sell because everyone wants to be epenis DD in videogames. Who the fuck would pay good money to be a support class. BRD isn't sexy therefore it will not be in demand and will not get you much $$$. Muze would probably get alot more for his character... well you would think with fully upgraded relic lol.

thats not really the point I was trying to make. I got a Taru DD to 75, which you need to build parties to do. my point is, if you already play FFXI this is just dumb, leveling a brd to 75 will not take you nearly long enough to level to justify that price, your basically paying for his aumlet and his Kraken Club.

Building parties works but there is still a lot of time, when you tell your potential members "I'm waiting for a brd or rdm to pop" and you can do /sea all rdm 45-48 all you want and some times it never comes. I've been @5 members for upwards of 4 hours not being able to get refresh/dispel. Yeah if I was hardcore I'd go without it, but meh, flame me if you like, being impatient often makes for the worst parties.

No, I saw it on playerauctions. I'm just shocked at the 2500 price tag, and that someone somewhere will pay that for it.

The average person who never played the game who is paying for a leveled character doesn't know how hard it is to level what job. All he sees is a 75 DRK and thinks omgzuberleetdmg, or he sees 75 BRD and thinks omgzsingingsongs. People who buy characters don't look into how hard the job is to level necessarily, they want something that looks cool.

Forming a pt without MP refresh sucks for sure. Still it can be done as I know a perma that partied with no RDM or BRD to 75... they had 2X WHM lol. Gimp parties are no fun usually though and sometimes you lose more XP than you gain. If the people are skilled you can pull off fucked up party combos and still get good xp.

there are other types of account buyers though.

people who quit the game and don't want to start from scratch. people who still play the game and want a 2nd character but don't want to put in the time to level one.

those types have a general idea how much each job should cost as well as the gear that goes with it.

Now that my bard has dispel and stuff I don't seek too long but sometimes I look and there's only WHM seeking and I still have to wait for invites. There's also the fact that the bulk of my invites end up being terrible parties that instantly think a bard will make it better. I have the ability to screen my parties but if I do so then I can still wait awhile for a perfect party that will XP fast.

I might agree that DRK 60 = BRD 75 but not 40. The instant parties for bard 1-75 is a bit of a myth.

BRD has to seek generally from 40 to 54 maybe. Once RDM gets refresh pts don't look for BRD for ballad I. Once BRD gets ballad II the invites pick back up again. Melee equip costs so much because it is for several jobs and there are more people playing those jobs.

There isn't as many people playing BRD as there is WAR/DRK/SAM etc... so that makes for more demand for something like Haubergon. More people that want to buy snipers the more you can charge for them since the materials do not increase by how many people are leveling the jobs that use the item. BRD has cheap equip because little of it is synthed and there is little you need to improve your performance gear wise.

You can level BRD off CP gear til AF. That is because nobody wants to play BRD so you will have little to no competition in getting parties so you don't need to outdo some other BRDs equip. Melee however have to compete gear wise with all the other melee out there not just the ones of the same job usually.
