About the mijin gakure thing, im not sure if AV's mijin will do dmg because hes never used it without his wyverns being out. When he did use it, it showed in the log that he did but only his wyverns did the actuall dmg of 4000. I dont know if he still uses it if his wyverns are dead or if it would do any dmg.

Spawns claimed to the killing alliance and I beleive AV will attack the last person with hate on JoL but not 100% sure, in this case Enfilade was last with hate on JoL using /assist figured this since he was AV's first target.

It happened during some of the recovery periods while Kupo was raising up and preparing for another assault. After a while, random people would start trying various things on AV and then die.

What was accomplished? Not much, other than to disprove theories, I'm guessing.

Then when Kupo was up and ready to try again, people left it alone.

At one point I did see a PLD invincible on AV for fun, and surprisingly lasted the entire invincible duration, but then that was also during that period where AV wasn't casting anything for a while.

If you're looking to kite AV to the palace entrance, the only way I can see it happening is to utilize its party sense. Have one person aggro it (im assuming here after a wipe) while the rest of the alliance sitting where you want it to be. After smashing the first person he should book it over there (good luck once he gets there though).

When I first watched this guy in action (when Simd & co. took it on) one guy in my spectator alliance pulled a Leeroy: "hay guyz watch this! lawls" and poked AV. Needless to say he got owned, and one person managed to shout "you moron, youve doomed us all!" before AV sped around and bitchslapped the entire alliance one by one.

Also, if you havent personally witnessed the power of this thing, you wont understand until you do. Screenshots dont do it justice. I agree with others here that he is currently either A unbeatable or B beatable only in some totally fruity gimmicky way no one would think of. Best theory I could see is gather every mnk/blm/nin/rng/rdm on the server, have one random dude engage and call for help, then have everyone do a coordinated chi blast/thundaga3/mijin/EES/chain-nuke. Maybe youll manage to get it to 80% that way, but only if you time it so he doesnt laugh at you and clear the area with meteor before everything goes off. Spacing for this would be key lol.

how hard are the wyverns to damage? perhaps if their hp was reduced to 5-8% before kiting (if the kiter could manage to get hate back afterwards), ninja 2hr from the wyverns wouldnt be anywhere near as bad.

As far as I know, hate isnt reseted when you logout or zone. It will give that impression because you're usually away for a long time and hate was partially shed, but it's still here. Monsters only drop their hate table when no one is range (when it unagro).

I agree zoning and waitin for hate to dissipate is better than dying, but I doubt anyone will have enough hate to keep it away from people who zone back outside.

You need to combine them and form a giant robot that has the power to rape stuff.




Other strategy for AV
1) Mass SMN (lame, but usually efficient). Just need to add a few more people to kite wyvern and raise ppl

2) Drk+krakken+ pld's cover+invincible? Chance is pld+drk are the one who will be raped, not AV. Probably have awful evade anyway

3) Mass carrier (does wonder since 1998)


Even if people still joke about it, there might be a way to make him weaker. He might not have an infinite supply of wyvern, and maybe there is something dispellable using the appropriate spell/item. Or maybe killing every Aern in the area could make him weaker or something (like its power add up from all the mob outside, even tho it's not likely)
