Lets start tallying drop rates.
Two hours definately help (BRD and WHM especially for our setup), but we've gotten the BC down to about 30-35 minutes with minimal deaths. Yeah they were back to back.
Even with the perfect strategy this BC has the same luck factor that's involved in the Dynamis Lord. Losses are just a lot less likely to happen if everything's planned properly.
Our first win was 50min.. but we spent 20min recovering from 2 tank PT wipes cause BLM fucked up and made him Giga but ya.. this BC doesnt ake more then 30min if done right
Thx for info =)
Posting to confirm that the pants do give kick attacks without MNK main. I was able to kick as WHM/NIN using hand to hand.
Can you kick without using H2H and the Bahamut Hose? (my MNK is lv19, leave me alone >_>)
Even as MNK main, when you use a staff or any other non-h2h weapon you can't kick, so I would imagine the answer would be no.Originally Posted by Demetrios

Guard is a skill, counter and kick are both abilities
Counter: May cancel target's attack with an attack of your own.
Kick Attacks: Occasionally delivers kick attacks when using hand-to-hand weapons.
Right, I failed at my own job.Originally Posted by Demetrios

Point is, no you can't kick without using h2h.
Which explains why RDM can equip the Bahamut Hose- our naturally high Hand-to-Hand skill.Originally Posted by Alleya
(Seriously, why can RDMs equip so many good Hand-to-Hand weapons? I wonder if I could get an interview with Sage Sundi or the Development Team to ask...)
Also explains why samurais can use sheilds, our fantastic shield skill.Originally Posted by Septimus

My first job was a sword/shield warrior ('-'*)
Coming out of EQ I figured... MNK... WHM... as monks were grossly powerful melee and clerics were the god emperor of healing and most needed class. So what could be better than a.... WHM/MNK?Originally Posted by Demetrios

We won the Bahamut BC 2 more times. The lv40 staff and 75 staff seem to be 50/50 lotto with eachother - so far we've gotten 2 of the former and 3 of the latter.
Got a Wyrm Horn too, so that's a confirmed drop.
It is only a necro bump if the thread has been dead for more than a month and the post is irrelevant to the thread. (Or even the hijack of the thread.)Originally Posted by Demetrios

Sounds like a stupid question, I know, but you never know ;o
Yeah Mega/Giga/Teraflare are all pure magic damage. Shadow ring has saved my life on more than one occasion in this BCNM. If you don't have shell 4 on and have less than 1450ish HP, Gigaflare will one shot you. I have not tried stacking fire resist gear, but it would simply increase your resist rate, not lower the max dmg you'll take from it. It'd be too unreliable as the only plan to cope with Gigaflare damage.
Teraflare will one shot everyone except for high HP, high -% magic damage players. ex. -25% magic damage+ and 1900 HP
