Refs need to be 100% sure to overturn that touchdown, so that touchdown was going to be theirs regardless. When I watched it, yeah, I thought he didn't make it either because Tatupu gave him a good tackle pushing him back, but there's a point where you can't even see the ball so that's what makes it questionable and possible for the ball to have crossed. I did like Ben's lame attempt to pretend that it made it over afterwards by moving his arms and the ball up after being down. :D There'd be no dispute over it if he just dived with his arms out.

And yes, Jackson's foot did step out of bounds, but he hit the pylon first, and the pylon is considered a part of the end zone. And the link I posted says:

A player will be ruled in bounds if he touches the pylon at the goal line before going out of bounds. For example, a pass would be considered complete if one foot touches the pylon and the other foot is in bounds.
Phantom PI is given, didn't feel the need to restate it :\

PS: The Touch Football commercial was the best. The Magic Fridge was pretty damn good too, but the other commercials were kinda crappy.

100% agreed. They did the right thing on both call reviews in the game. What I didn't like about the play (and may have said before) was the way the ref started running in from the side line as though he were going to spot it and, well after the play was dead, signalled touchdown. If he'd signalled TD or not, I wouldn't have argued because you couldn't tell. The call here isn't the issue to me so much as the style in which the call was made, which was symptomatic of a much larger problem of poor officiating.

I still don't think the Seahawks would have won if the officiating had been perfect, but it sure as hell would've been a different game. One I could've swallowed losing better. (I was prepared to lose; I am, after all, a Seahawks fan, I'm used to disappointment).
