WAR/DRG is actually viable....

Anyone who thinks otherwise probably hasn't seen it in action/done it themselves with the proper equipment and setups. All the reasons are given above; I'm not going to repeat them.

Sorry, but Nynja's right again. And anyone saying that their DRG will outparse someone's WAR/DRG (with proper equipment, again) should really think about playing a different MMO. Stop getting all defensive and realize that the job's weapon is its weakness.

I came pretty late to this thread...although I was reading KI.

But I am not geared to deal much dmg vs HNM as I'm only 1/5 Heca nor does my LS camp HNM that often. So I can't really comment about it.

All I can comment about is that thf can gain tp faster than any other job and if they're able to get enough attack could deal good damage vs HNM's. But I don't know how viable that is, so you won't hear anything about it from me, yet.

I've seen sam's with double minuet hit 0 on faf. Faf = retardly high def = it happens.

Only difference is sam uses a D80 weapon where as thf uses a D24-28 weapon on faf.

You only have to play this game for a day to know that a D80 GKT is going to do more damage than a D24 dagger, what's to discuss??

Not being defensive at the slightest. I've been to enough camps as dragoon, I think I know what I'm talking about and I know plenty of people who can vouche for it being a fairly good dd. (Give me a day or two if you wish, I'll go to the camp on that job and post ss's, but by then nobody will either give a fuck or someone else might just do it.)

a war/drg actually does DMG to HNM's, so they earn the merit of actually using a subjob to further enhance their dmg to HNM's. on their own, without voke, they can pull hate. You dont believe me, ask Mr. Lockecole who "tanks Nidhogg on war/nin and does most dmg in the alliance" (even though I think his claim is still full of shit, IT WORKS FOR ME RIGHT NOW LOL)


Those wings "that dont even do much dmg with shell4" (as you, or your buttbuddy said) is moot compared to the damage fafhogg is going to do chomping on them.

Also I dont see a point in having all this haste gear for fafnir when you only get enough TP to SC, and if you're outTP'ing your partner (like your 170 to their 110 tp ) that's 60 TP waisted, and swings being hit at fafnir for nothing.

You shouldn't really mind TG, thing you should learn is if you attack or give a slight hint which may look like an attack on or against TG, they will creep out of their bushes they hide in and ambush you on forums(they zerg forums essentially), lol.

That aside, I'm laughing at this thread because mostly it comes across as, NynJaa couldn't get anyone to really agree with him on KI, so he came fleeing here to look for a group that would agree with him.

Chiz might've come across as arrogant in that thread, but the screenshots and statements by him, as well as the screenshots by him and Pres show that Thieves can put out good numbers on Fafnir when well equipped, and aren't quite as limited as other melees (i.e. their TA'd weapon skills will still do decent damage).

Honestly, so the hell what if they use THF? ED can kill Fafnir consistently with their set up that has *gasp* more than one THF. TG can kill Fafnir with *gasp* more than one THF in their party (yes, I've been one of the TWO Thieves in the party). Both LSes can kill the thing when undermanned, so what?

(And really Keft, given that this is a new thread and no one brought it up, was it necessary to bring that up?)

In reality the only reason I'd go /NIN to fafnir is tanking as a WAR, it's boring, and I end up pulling hate for it regardless. I just really wanna use the martial bhuj I'm borrowing

One of the 2 jobs in the game that can plant a 700-900 damage sneak attack WS on fafnir with consistency and not/ get people killed for it. Can my WAR outdo my DRG on fafnir? Likely, will my DRG not get myself and/or everyone else faceplanted for it? Yeah
