The only piercing BP are some level 10 stuff. Not worth it...only does 150ish damage. Best bet is have ppl range attack during piecing mode. Rangers do well.

For those that care; CC, panzer, and pretty much all the beast pets seem to be blunt. Tiger might be slashing but caps too low anyway, Amigo WS's are probably piercing. But 200k for 10 minutes of fun is kind of a waste.

We beat Temperance using 1 WAR/NIN, and the rest DoT hahahah...that was a lame 3.5 hours...
He's faster than even a NIN with AF at nighttime, youll only outrun him for a bit when he stops to Meditate or WS. (Yes, he does meditate).
All DoTs work on him, including the BLM elemental DoT series. You can't outrun Optic Induration usually, since it has a decent range to it.
We've found that using a PLD or two to straight tank actually does pretty well, just be careful of the SP.
Optic Induration damage seems to be related to the amount you hit him while he is "charging', at least on normal Zdeis. When I unlock/turn during charge-up, I'll get a weak induration for 60ish dmg only, and then pray that petrification wears before I die.
Haven't fought the nm yet so maybe his rules are different for him.
Also, you *can* outrun (on normal pots) induration but it's tricky. If you're out of range, he won't start the WS. So you have to be in range so he starts, and then run away so that you escape the range before it triggers. I've pretty much only done this by luck, but with certain windower enhancements, you could figure out the exact range it has and use that to aid your escape.
I've seen it stunned on normal pots too, but dunno if stun works on the NM.
Stun is no good on temperance, and he runs a lot faster than a normal pot. I really would be surprised to see someone without Flee (and not cheating) outrun the WS
Temperance doesn't charge it up the way regular zdei do, there's a much much shorter warning that its coming. Since WS are mode based its not hard to know when he can use it though, and have people positionned accordingly.
