Thanx captain obvious, Im sure noone's heard of Avesta. There's a difference between DoTing a mob over a period of 2hours, and dropping it, and straight up tanking it in less then 2mins. Takes alot more skill, and gear, and cooperation between the 3 people, (especially when dualboxxing while curing, tanking, and debuffing.)

I wasn't bragging, I was merely stating that its not necessary to have 6 to kill him: 3 is a possibilty with a BRD, and a NIN and a RDM. Though Im sure you know all about 3man zips being a PLD and all.

What does you having a NIN have to do with anything? You obviously dont know jack shit about NIN if saying that a RDM can solo Zip in anyway effects wether or not a normal PT can trio him, since they are done in such a different fasion. First of all you conveniantly changed your signature from the one that stated "PLD75" only, leading people to believe that was your only job.

Needless to say, is it not obvious that stating that Avesta can solo Zip has NOTHING to do with a normal PT taking him on? If you're a NIN you should know the way a RDM takes down Zip in no way makes a 3 man Zip a small accomplishment. Now take that same RDM and make him straight up tank, have to evade hits, and kill him in...oh I dont know, less then 2 hours. Everyone knows Avesta can do this, and any knowledgable person knows that it in no way effects the other and only way to kill Zip, straight up tank him with normal damage, support, and a tank. I used the term Captain Obvious...because everyone knows of Avesta's accomplishments...and everyone knows it has NOTHING to do with a normal party tanking Zip.

And Tom, your mocking repsonse to "aers" post is in fact mocking masterorion, because he was in fact the person who responded to me in that manner, stating that "Lol, Zip can be soloed, you're a gimp if you need 4 people." On top of it all, you act as if it was a matter of bragging when I stated what I did, when it was merely telling a close friend, (Russta), what was possible with a normal setup. Me telling him "LAWLZ GIMP Avesta CUN SOLO ZIPZ!" would in no way help him, because he doesnt have a RDM at his disposal...nor does he wanna spend 2hours to kill him. Noone's getting pissed, masterorion is just severely uneducated and assumes too much about the intention of my post.

and no, i didnt change my sig for the reason you specified. i did, however see that i was using a sig on these boards that i havent used for quite a while on any other boards. therefore, i changed it to one that i use currently. so before you go spewing off at the mouth with a bunch of junk... think about shit first.

I never said it doesnt take skill...I said that the two strategies are in NO way related, and aren't relevant to the discussion at hand. Russta has NIN,WAR,BRD,RDM I believe as his PT setup....nowhere in there is there room to solo with a RDM...nor do I think he was interested in approaching both the Olla and Zip battle in that way.

BTW, Zip is probably 10 times harder to solo then Genbu. A mob that moves at constant flee speed, has constant TP regen (or some rediculous form of TP gain), and swings fast as hell I'd say is a little harder to solo then Genbu...who moves as if he has gravity at all times. So yes, if you can solo Zip, Genbu is a fucking joke. Have you ever fought Genbu? As long as you fight him cautiously and have the necessary refresh gear...how is he anything but a total joke? I'm not saying its not possible to get caught and get killed on him...but in comparison to Ash Dragon straight tanking, Zip...ODS, yes I'd say he's a joke.

I post on other forums...and wonder how these forums got like this. This game, and the subjects it entails, are so stressful and climatic, that I think if any of us met under anyother circumstances, it would be a totally different story.
