Gloom Breastplate causes Souleater recast to tick down faster while wearing it, but it's bugged and doesn't display in the menu, only works if you try to activate it from a macro or typing it in.

I have no idea what Sable Cuisses do.

No, it's true. Something like 30% of the damage you take while Cover is up (and actively covering someone) is converted into MP. Something between 10-30% I believe, not sure of the exact number though.
