A Credit Card Chargeback is a potentially a big deal.

The credit card clearing houses skim a small % off the top of SOE's billlings. When you file a chargeback with your CC company, you have to fill out an online questionnaire or write a letter or some bullshit. Your CC company will credit you for the charge (i.e. its not even worth the investigator's time for $15) and toss a debit back to SOE. While SOE may not care if they lose say $1500 per month (say 100 people with mules), you better believe that the CC Clearinghouse will put up a huge red flag when they see 100 chargebacks.

In some cases, the merchat is charged a penalty for having too many chargebacks per month or year or whatever. I have a merchant account, and each chargeback over three per year costs me an administrative fee of $25. I have no idea what SOE's contract states is their threshold of acceptable number of chargebacks is.

Chargebacks are like put into a nice little file for that account. If we get enough accounts, while it may not get SOE's attention, it sure as hell will be a pain in their accountant's ass to deal with the unhappy CC company.

What's the worst that could happen? POL suspends you because you haven't paid your account (which happens to everyone at some point anyway, some people every month), and then you just go ahead and pay it like 5 days later.

This may actually be the best way to "get revenge" or whatever, for those who were "disiplined". Hell, everyone who was jailed should do that. However, most likely SE will probably just say your account isn't worth keeping..
