ughh pearl harbor was mentioned where in what I said? And racism if completley diffrent then homosexuality... One your born with the other is a choice. You can BE homosexual, not like someone who IS a black or mexican or whatever.

"So sir, when did you decide to become a homosexual?"
"Well, I just woke up one morning and put on my bathrobe and said, 'I'm gonna give that homosexualism thing a try', sounded kinda cool and so here I am."
I'm more likely to believe that most homosexuals would tell you they were born that way. They had as much a choice as you or I did for our heritage. Anywho, the irony wasn't lost on your comment.
I think it's something that's debated because homosexuality in and of itself isn't something substantial. It's not something you can trace back, or prove, or is something that is evident beside the obvious possible personality traits. I guess the best way to describe it is this..regardless sexuality is a choice. Wether you're heterosexual or homosexual these both are a choice, just like anything else in life.Originally Posted by Briste
My only problem with that is, I don't chose to be heterosexual, I was born that way. I don't find other guys sexually attractive and have zero interest in being in a homosexual relationship. The confusion for most homosexuals lies in the fact that they are taught at an early age that you are supposed to like the opposite sex.
They then are confused, since they don't have those feelings. To me, certain aspects of your being are placed there when you are born and there is nothing you can do about it. Being blue eyed isn't a choice, having brown hair isn't a choice, and I think that sexual orientation to a point is the same.
My post was more to point out the hypocracy of calling someone:
and then defending it by saying:Racist faggot piece of shit

Actually doctors and psychiatrists are now saying homosexuality is a trait you are born with that cant be changed or chosen.
a part of the brain in homosexual patients is slightly enlarged producing more of a certain horomone into your body.
you are born gay, dont rip on people that are - its the same as ripping on someone of a nationality or skin color.
These the same doctor's that treat depression as an illness?Originally Posted by Boyiee
interestingly, the implication here seems to be you can't be born gay—you must choose to be gay. but you sure as hell can be a born racist!Originally Posted by Klever
severe depression is an illness.
Main Entry: ill·ness

Function: noun

illness
n : impairment of normal physiological function affecting part or all of an organism
And if you met anyone who was depressed, you'd know all prescription medicines will do is help mask and cover-up the real issue, not cure the depression. Usually depression can be linked to a mental or spiritual struggle within a person. I just hate when people dump meds into a person, instead of trying to deal with the real issue. Such a fantastic way to fuck someone up.Originally Posted by Boyiee
Back on track I called POL yesterday, and I was told a letter would sent out within 1-2 weeks. I was like WTF, my account is banned and you cannot send a letter out with 1-2 business days?
The lady said, "We sent an email to your POL email" I repiled "HOW THE HELL CAN I CHECK MY POL EMAIL? I AM BANNED." She repiled, "I am not familar with the procedures of the GM's" This company is totally useless. If Best Buy, or another company had support like this, they would be out of business by now.
you just named 80-85% of all known diseases. Colds, flus, viruses, Aids Herpes other STD's.Originally Posted by Lockecole
Most medication covers up the problem, or adds slight reliefe to it. Think of a headache, you can get a headache for hundreds of reasons, and the problem isnt necessarily in your head. You take advil or ibeprophen to conceil it, you arent getting rid of it, or curing it. When doctors give someone pain medication, even serious things like codine, it it supressing the pain by covering it up with numbness, not curing it.
welcome to the world of government controlled name brand drug companies. They most likely have cures for dilemmas such as colds and flus and maybe aids, but why would you release it to the public when you can make more money selling alternatives and suppression agents.
yes they would, and they know this watching other companies grow and die because people stop going there.Originally Posted by Thaesus
Are you sitll playing FFXI? still paying and supporting it? Obviously SE has realized in its years that they can get away with things like this. Why would they stop it when they can be lazy and still profit off us. Why would they ban 1500$ a month worth of gilseller income? Why not favor JP's if they have a larger community of players?
It hasnt ended in 2+ years of time, it most likley isn't going to. We still play so obviously its not As big of a problem as we are getting upset about, or we would have moved on as a whole already. When SE loses money and doesnt profit from us as much, things will change.... but since we are all still here playing and not stopping, they have no reason to.
i really wish i wasn't a student and i had a lot of money and could go to their stupid comicon anime kekek^^ convention and ask them about people being banned and racism in front of all the people there
One day when I was in college I was playing Street Fighter in my dorm room with some of the guys that lived on my floor and we were coming up with ways to piss off our parents.
Dave said, "I'm going to get a tattoo."
Jamie retorted with, "I'm going to get my nose pierced."
Pat thought about it for a moment and said, "I'll buy a motorcycle."
I just sat there smiling, because I knew I was going to win. With a cheeky smirk I said, "I'm going to go gay."
Of course everyone paused and after thinking about it declared me the winner. Yes, March 15th, 2004 was the day that I made a very conscious and deliberate choice to spend the rest of my life denying my natural heterosexual urges because I wanted to piss off my parents.
...
WHO SERIOUSLY BELIEVES BULLSHIT LIKE "PEOPLE CHOOSE TO BE GAY"???
I can no easier stop being gay than I can stop being white or stop having blue eyes. I could get a deep tan or get color contacts, but the tan will fade and every night when I take the contacts out my eyes will be blue again. You can deny who you are by becoming "ex-gay" or marrying Star Jones, but denial does not change who you actually are.
Some doctors and psychiatrists are saying that. But considering that the subject is still open for debate, people can think whatever they want. Personally I think it's neither a choice NOR something you're born with. I think it's something that develops naturally as a direct result of one's environment and surroundings as a child and teenager.Originally Posted by Boyiee

I agree. To compare race and physical traits to sexuality isn't a legit argument. I can grow to hate women, have a bad sexual image of myself, etc..and all of these things are based off of the events that happen to me and my environment. To say that physical attributes...unchangable physical attributes like eye color and race are exactly like sexuality, something which to this day cannot be specifically pinned down to or identified, is incorrect. Whatever your opinion on the matter, that last fact is true. I can look at your eyes and see they are blue, I can look at your physical attributes, your skin color and I can tell what race you are. Sexuality is something entirely different. Regardless of what I think, or what you think, we can't prove it, and that is why it's different.Originally Posted by divisortheory
Actually, you can prove who a person is attracted to, there are devices that measure physiological reactions when someone sees someone sexually appealing. Flush, pulse rate, pupil dilation, galvanic skin response, and umm... physical arousal all change when someone sees an attractive person.Originally Posted by Lockecole
