I can look at your eyes and see they are blue, I can look at your physical attributes, your skin color and I can tell what race you are. Sexuality is something entirely different. Regardless of what I think, or what you think, we can't prove it, and that is why it's different.

Scientists would think otherwise. I saw an experiment where they would show someone naughty pictures and visually measure arousel (sans cloths). The interesting result was that while 10% or less of men were aroused when they "shouldn't" be based on indicated sexual preference, 50% of women were more happy looking at naughty pictures of... well... women.

Goes a long way to explaining why Cosmo and Stuff can pretty much use the same art content.

I can no easier stop being gay than I can stop being white or stop having blue eyes. I could get a deep tan or get color contacts, but the tan will fade and every night when I take the contacts out my eyes will be blue again. You can deny who you are by becoming "ex-gay" or marrying Star Jones, but denial does not change who you actually are.

See I always believe that us humans are always trying to control everything, especially things that we CAN'T control. We try to control love with marriage, our eye color with contacts, limp noodle - Viagra, the list goes on and on.

Sexual preference is another way of trying to control what we were born as. I was born a man, and it doesn't matter if I enjoy being with another man more then with being a woman, I know I was made the way I am to make babies with women. Reproduction is the purpose, pleasure is just an awesome side effect.

Personally I think it's neither a choice NOR something you're born with. I think it's something that develops naturally as a direct result of one's environment and surroundings as a child and teenager.

I agree. To compare race and physical traits to sexuality isn't a legit argument. I can grow to hate women, have a bad sexual image of myself, etc..and all of these things are based off of the events that happen to me and my environment. To say that physical attributes...unchangable physical attributes like eye color and race are exactly like sexuality, something which to this day cannot be specifically pinned down to or identified, is incorrect. Actually, you can prove who a person is attracted to, there are devices that measure physiological reactions when someone sees someone sexually appealing. Flush, pulse rate, pupil dilation, galvanic skin response, and umm... physical arousal all change when someone sees an attractive person.

Just because something is not readily apparent it does not mean that it is not there.

People take it for granted, but is there anything holier or more miraculous in this world then being able to create life? What greater purpose do I need then to look at my child and know she is the only real proof there will ever be that I ever existed?
