    3) Make sure the law regulating the servers is not biased and treats everyone equally.

The concept of international servers is a good business model because you can rotate people in for different peak hours. Although you may need 15 servers for NAs at peak hours, during off peak hours you would probably only need 5. Sadly, the execution was flawed and thusly we have the voke-botting, packet-sniffing, kill-stealing, mob-holding fest that we have now.
If you do the first 2, then the third one would be an almost non-existent issue.

    +1

Competition fosters nothing but ill will in all but the very best of people.

Problem is too many people get wrapped up into the Graphical aspect of things, and lose sight of everything else just because of pretty pictures.

Yes, FFXI has some rather decent/good graphics, but it also has horrible customer service, racism to the NA populous that rivals that of the KKK to the non-white people, and a downright stupid development team with no real concept of making a mistake and fixing it.

To each their own however, if you want to pay for stupid, go right ahead. I get paid to deal with stupid, that's why I go to work. If I want to see a bunch of fucking morons, I show up to work on time and stay my entire shift, I sure as fuck aren't going to pay to deal with jackassery.

    Video from E3

Long list of videos there, its FFXI Gameplay Video #2, the second clip of footage they showed from E3.

It was really confusing to me during E3 because the first video was clearly FFXI footage on the 360, and the the second video was randomly what I would call next-gen graphics. I kinda thought that the XBOX360 was going to be getting a highly upgraded graphical version of FFXI from the start...kind of incentive to buy a 4-5 year old game when theres other options around.

    Dunno, maybe it'll still happen.

I couldn't give a shit though, I just want Square to start releasing single-player RPGs again, because those rock my world.

I don't know what SE is thinking releasing 4 or more MMORPGs that will all probably go for +10 dollars. SE should turn Playonline into a Xbox Live kind of thing for these MMORPGs, one price set for all the MMORPGs.

Anyway, about the "Future Vana'diel post" you release at least all but one of those are the same zone. I'm pretty sure they all are.

Yeah I wish they did that too. I have front mission online also and while its good, its not worth that 10 bucks a month since FFXI is already taking up all my game time....
