So far for me it only screw up taru male NPCs, they look like a tree with branches sticking out. I think my friend edited the V and F file to make all Elvan male read as Taru male. So far he had done hume male > taru male and Elvan male > taru male and humae male > mithra. I can ask if he can do the same with hume female.

I used to use the race changer so I know the npc thing youre talking about, that's not a very big deal. But I'm interested in knowing how to change races.

Actually the idea of chaning to a taru stared 2-3 month ago on KI when Gradient was takling about this cool taru mnk on his server who now only need a spharai so he can toss it in the air. Then I started thinking, what if I'm a taru? Since the ws is about the same size on all race, wouln't it make ws look alot more cooler? Since then I had been hunting down .dat files, I tried simply exchange the elvan and taru .dat file in the folder but that didn't work. Then I tried these race convertor I found on KI, but it was after the patch and it didn't work either. The finally a few days ago a friend of mine was able to edit the F and Vconvertor files and let me change to a taru.

If you have face 3A, then yes, plenty of pimp livin'.

it was around 200-400 on the Om I recall. Everyone know FH's damage is weak but I have this one sitting in my photobucket account.

Ok, since Muze actually directed me here I can answer some questions, the only thing it messes up when I convert races, is some NPCs (not all for some reason) look a little strange, and -maybe- a couple pieces of armor dont match up correctly anymore. Think I remember one looking like leather armor when it wasnt supposed to, cant remember which though and that was when I converted myself to a Mithra. Also, in cutscenes, it will still treat you as your normal race as well as anyone else involved, provided they arent their own model altogether (ie Chebukkis).

but to get it to work, send me a PM or whatever and I can send you some instructions, have to not be afraid to modify your registry though, since this still technically is for the JP version, have to trick it into thinking you have JP version installed but refer to your NA version. Used to just use it on JP and exchange files then I realized my lapotp at school doesnt have the drive space for both versions.

I thought they patched that & it bugs CoP wses like empty seed (you would crash if it happened) and some other bugs with CoP armors. ;x

After the december patch Raceconverter, would crash you: If empty seed animation was seen on your screen, you got to close to one of the weight activated door panels in Quicksand Caves, or Diabolos was summoned. It also made 2hd weapons look like a generic sword model.

Edit: no this version is the same and still makes me crash at diabolos summon etc. only race i tried to change to was hume female, and i noticed it made my vtable and ftables smaller file size then they should be.
