Ugly Range >>> Sea (although I know som SMNs who prefer to solo the VT pedes)

King buffalos xp is actually better than Sea mobs with practice, you can do better than 5k/h on them, depending on the day (around 6, 7k is possible).

Duo in uleguerand (buffalos) / Huxzoi (aerns) / Ru'Aviteau (statues) is very good xp too.

I MB'ed as RDM there for 1264 on Blizzard 3. I don't call that cheating, I call that broken.

A bunch of jobs can pull stuff off like that. I know on nin you can chain 5 the T Dhalmels solo for 200+ a kill pretty easy, aglooiks seem the best tho ; ;

I solo near the entrance to Al'Taieu on my 70 BLM/RDM while I seek for xp parties. I only use Thunder III and Blizzard III at these levels so it's pretty much impossible to chain (Could use Water IV and Stone IV if they didn't completely suck ass). With XP ring I get 450 xp a kill on the Ul'Phuabos and 300 without. It's not much but it's nice when all you're going to be doing is sitting in Jeuno waiting for an invite anyways.

teleport-mea/holla/dem >> the northern parts of sea. VT phaubo's galore there, lots of aerns, less people.

if Ulegerand were not so damn far it would be better to just hit there, but in the time it takes to walk there, you can get 2-3k xp in sea.

Given a choice between consistent dependable chain 5s for 200 a kill, or chain 5 for 200-400 a kill when you're lucky (and chain 1-2 on average, and once in a while, you have to just kill the damn bomb the normal way), I'd pick the consistent route. Just depends on how the bombs are feeling that day.
