Judge: "Uhm. So let me get this straight, you want damages on services rendered for something that you keep buying every month that you have not legal reason to keep purchasing?"

I don't think they're liable for whether players cheat etc either, but they should be liable for handling situations in the same unbiased manner. Why is it that people were banned over that Fafnir incident for mpking when gil sellers have been jailed multiple times for mpk, and at least on my server, they are still not banned? How can some people be allowed to hold hnms and not others?

i've been re-imbursed when my internet went down and it wasnt my fault. Why do I have to pay for a service that wasnt in service? I phoned them and yapped, then they gave me that amount of money I was owed, off the next bill.

Because you're paying for a service that is not gaurenteed to be up 100% of the time. In fact they tell you it won't be. Thinking you're owed money for them doing maintenance on their service is laughable particularly considering FFXI probably has close to if not the LEAST downtime of any successful MMORPG.

i think i failed to get might point across, just used dynamis b/c it was the first thing that came to mind. How long would it take to max out your gil, or anyone one persons if everyone farmed for gil all day long and sent it to just 1 person? A= too fucking long to enjoy it, i think

if services are down for 10 min, thats no big deal. Companies state that their hardware may drop occasionally.

Hell, I've been connected to my internet for almost a year straight, I can count the amount of times my internet completly dropped on both hands, and with the exception of one time like 3 weeks ago where a router probably got fucked over on an exceptionally cold day, my service was back up and running within 3 minutes, even that day when a router dropped I was down for no more than 2 hours.

IF your cable TV happens to go AWOL for 24 hours straight, contact your provider and they will credit you for that 24 hour period that it was down.

See, but those are more essential services... This is a game. You can't compare in any way. You know the product youre buying is basically what they supply, you aren't gettin the exact game you want, youre getting the game they sell. You pay for it, they keep giving it. Thats it. And hell, I say the game is still the best out there, apparently you guys think so too cause you pay for it and care enough to make yourself look like fools in posts like this.

I remember reading someone saying a GM told him to delete his char because he was stuck in Sky because of a bug.

So to take the same exemple, lets say you bought the car, it works fine, but one month after the purchase, a small piece of the motor breaks. So you call the mechanic guy, but he tells you "Sorry dude, drop the key, and go buy another car". Kind of stupid isn't it?

SE is actually trying to make everyone enjoy the game. Look at Chain of Promathia : Missions and Sea Farming + Gods. Problem, they failed to make them work. No one bother with CoP because 1. Missions are hard and 2. the Rewards are worthless.
So because SE failed at making new stuffs, everyone is doing the same thing that he was doing like 2 years ago.
