Dynamis Currency Prices

On Midgardsormr, there is a PLD with enough currency to complete the Sword Relic. Mind you, he hasn't been 75 for a long time(he could even be 74), has some HQ Adaman gear, he doesn't have sea, in a shitty (zerg) sky LS that couldn't get pass Dyna-Beau on their best day, and why the fuck would a PLD get the sword over the shield? He has admited he got most his currency over Christmas. <3 <3 Gil buyers.

100k is the bazaar price of asura that nobody buys it for. I usually send tells and get it for 50.

The last dozen people i've found selling currency want 120-150k ea now.
Someone had a jadeshell for 15m in rolanberry yesterday.

People charging that much for currency need to fuck off and go masterbate with a cheesegrater.

lol, that's kind of lame. The only thing that annoys me is people dont realize the effort of the last 2 stages, /sigh. It's been discussed over and over , not point speaking anymore.

However some new insight, usually when people apply for my dynamisLS , they say how they want a)af2, b) to upgrade their relic weapon. They talk about upgrading their relic sooooooo casually as if it's some thing they can do while lfg, like fishing or crafting, alot of people are so uninformed and it's kinda annoying.

Also alot of people ask what dropped off DL when we kill, then when i tell them they say "Sucks that he didnt drop a 10,000 byne bill" or whatever. They're still misinformed about that, and think it's some easy drop ><

heh there's about 10 people who say they're upgrading in my LS...sadly only like 3 including myself are even serious about it, one SAM says he has stage 3 GTK + att. yet he told me he needed Windy currency for stage 3>4, then i looked it up on MT while i was making a list of people that were serious about sponsoring, lo' and behold its 6,000 from Bastok...im about to ask him to let me see his GTK, cause if he's selling currency im gonna be fuckin uber pissed.

we do dynamis 2x per week, xarca on fridays and currency rate from xarca is trash-tastic except if you go for DL, we do "sponsors" and shit for the hourglass and there's always someone saying "im gonna start upgrading" like right outta nowhere and fucking up the serious upgraders so it takes us even more time to get to the cool stages, hell i've been 20/6000 to stage 4 for 3 weeks

Yeah I guess people think I got to stage3 from getting quarter split on sponsoring the last couple months -_- Uhh yeah 70 bronze from the last sandy run cut 4 ways is progress lol. Since im ranting, gotta love bad luck like losing the sponsoring random against 6 other people for the last windurst run(we allow 4 sponsor max per run) then getting owned on lotting for 2 Koga Hatsuburi. 2 years later and still no nin AF2. Maybe ill lose a lot to koga chainmail next week to someone that doesn't even have a fucking dyna-beaucadine clear -_- /emo.

I've had to craft/garden to acquire just over 2000 of my currency thus far and spent about 12mil this week getting another M. Silverpiece and about 50ish more misc currency. My schedule is screwed over and im down to being able to make 1 dynamis run a week(friday). Unless you're getting all the currency from a dynamis run like lordwafik does you have to pour hundreds of millions of gil into currency purchase or just take 2-3years to see stage4 ;x

Previously I didnt sponsor all my runs, i'd by all the coins because they were cheap as hell, I got the currencies for my staff to be level 2, and then some.

Then I sold my coins when I got dalm abj, to buy synth materials.

The thing that annoys me, is Dynamis currencies havent scaled up with the economy, they were 5k back when I was buying them, and dark clusters were 5k too. Now they're sold for what 100k, and dark clusters are 20k. I get lucky now and then and have a friend who manages to find coins for 40k, and also another friend of mine who gives me whatever she steals from her dynamis runs with her LS. I ask her if she wants money for them, but she says "I'd have tossed them" It's so silly the prices of them. Everyone wants to see a relic on the server, but nobody wants to help any of the relic owners by selling to them at reasonable prices.

Wow @ Prices being over 100k each.
Prices are slowly starting to drop in price finally on Carby.
Ranging from 70-90k instead of 100k+
100's going for 8-9M and then every here and there a greedy JP with one at 10M.

This logic behind the Currency prices looks all to much like gas prices >.>
Raise it 50 cents lower it by 25, raise it by 50, lower it by 25 (6 months later) wee only $3.00/gal gas here!

I made posts on server forums about wanting to trade currency and I'll buy as my funds allow. Someone sent me a /tell saying they had a Jadeshell, then said they were using it pay for other runs, so they wanted gil for it.

The worst part is they just stopped responding. They refused to negotiate. I would've gone for 6-7mil or so probably, but I want it as cheap as I can get so obviously I'd start low. And wtf @ 9mil for "sponsoring more runs" That is NINE MORE DYNAMIS RUNS, 100 bills aren't THAT uncommon...

The people wanting 120k+/12M+ ea act like i'm trying to rip them off when I try to negotiate price I have similar problems with people just not responding at all if I try to haggle price.
Like wafik says my currency buying power is shit compared to what it used to be because a good number of farmable/craftable goods dont keep up with dynamis currency inflation.

I really wish they would just extend the jeuno tax to the zones adjacent to jeuno if it would get rid of the tools putting overpriced currency in their bazaars. Better yet, how about or making it non-bazaarable so people have to use say/tell/shout to sell/trade/buy it

undercutting is soooo 2002, if they were AH'able they'd be up for Vclaw prices.

I still think my Dynamis-BCNM idea would rock.

1 BCNM arena, 6 man BC : 1x Dynamis Stone, and 6 Dynamis mobs, depending on the arena you pick it'll be orc/quad/yag/gob, chance of 100bil is same chance of D.ingot/Vclaw in other BC, have other drops as byne/synthesis materials from zones.

I like the BCNM idea, even chocobo digging up singles once an hour would be nice at this rate. As much as I hate to say it, high currency prices are good because it discourages a number of people from trying to upgrade.
If currency prices were more reasonable we'd just have more people running around with stage1+2 weapons competing.

dynamis BCNM would be a cool idea, dunno if only 6 ppl in a normal pt setup could handle certain combos: NIN / SMN pretty much wipes out everything unless you kill it fast enough. it'd be nice to have it being some sort of normal dynamis / limbus 3-day period and you have to farm a ra/ex item to do it. maybe if they made it so every mob drops 1 item each, and the statue is immune to damage until you kill off the beastmen, that'd be kinda fun.


i dont think SE intends to help currency drop rates, in fact i expect them to gimp it as bad as the newer dynamis areas because of what Sage Sundi said in that interview about him not wanting to see everyone with a relic weapon, but SE could just go the other way and make Dynamis-Tavnazia some sort of currency gold mine and have the boss drop a 10,000 bill.

Sage Sundi knows absolutely nothing. He said the expansion was for solo and low level content and it's clear that it's geared for end-game use from other interviews. I would just throw out that interview and only use it to hold it against SE, I doubt it has much basis with what is actually happening in the Dev team.
