I'm not even sure on that, thats is what the person who said that is saying however. It wouldn't surprise me because a lot of people quit because of RMTing, but then sell their account over it. Its a stupid joke. I love it when they say "I'll miss all my friends", but they help RMT run and hurt their friends who play.

The same way anyone on Pandemonium can tell the difference between Welove and just about every other LS. There's even sucky upstart ones from time to time that think it's cool to MPK and kill steal, and people can still tell the difference.

Take your pick:

Banning gilsellers -> bank still has all the money, flow of RMT isn't immediatly stopped and can probably last until new gilsellers level
Banning IGE mules -> no money left to RMT, gilsellers have to meet a huge demand from scratch

It'll all continue again eventually, but one of those choices get a shitton of ill-gained gil from the system.

Ban the RMTers, No one to buy gill, no one to pay the gill famers problem solved.

I think the point would be to keep the people who play to actually play the game. Ban the gilsellers, and gilbuyers can't buy no matter how much demand there is.

Though to answer Not Kuno, maybe ban both? Your LS bank don't regularly receive gil from IGE gilfarmers, I would hope.

BUT THESE ARE THE PEOPLE THAT FUCK UP THIS GAME. The gill farmers only do the things that everyone else does. But they sell their gill. If they were there others would be. The problem isnt people who farm gill, cause we all farm gill, why cant you people understand that. We are all gill farmers. So just banning people who farm gill is bullshit.

You people want gill farmers banned are too lazy to deal with someone else trying to get claim. Legit players would get banned at some point if you banned everyone who camps shit for money.

If you dont want RMTers banned, than maybe your apart of the problem, cause RMTers are the ones who support IGE who pays the actually gill farmers. So by banning the people route of the problem you solve the whole issue and not address the cause of effect of the problem.[/quote:de539]

Ok, at least they did something, whether or not it may be significant. It's something at least, and we've known SE to do a whole lot of nothing.

However, the damage has been done. No matter what they do, we aren't going to see 4-6mil SH and 4mil Verms like we used to. I honestly don't think prices are going to fall by more than a few million because all these items have locked themselves on a new notch.

most of the reason prices go up isnt really because of RMT, it just helps it get there faster

the concept of tradeables being better than vrtra tiamat and jorm loot (oh wait......... their loot is tradeable) is the basis for things having gotten out of hand once and getting out of hand again, because it's not going to change

my life is about the same as it was during ffxi, or any mmo.. antisocial and fun at the expense of sleep and doing more than the bare minimum to get by. i'm just a lot happier in a different game designed more as a progression from UO->EQ and other mmo's i enjoyed, rather than a failed attempt at something wholly new, endgame wise
