In WoW, BG is just another guild doing things that were accomplished by others 2+ years ago. In FFXI, BG was/is competitive with the best of the best, drawing endgame players from many different servers to the site. They'll never accomplish that in WoW. BG is probably the most well known FFXI NA linkshell in the game while in WoW they aren't even a blip on the radar.

Now there's nothing wrong with that, especially if they enjoy the game. However, when they constantly jump over here to the FFXI forums trying to justify their loss of e-penis power it just get's annoying, hence the need for this thread.

yeah.. epeen became ridiculous about.. when was it ever important?
epeen is one of the things that transcended friendship/camaradarie(sp) and brought the old bg down
accomplishments are cool but i laugh at people who are all up in the epeen thing

probably the biggest problem with our old ls was that people would put lots of petty stuff like this in front of making an effort to be friends anyway...rolling around in absurdly large and needless amounts of gil

definitely true, but it was no better than the other things i mentioned, and more in general just whatever motivated people to fish in kuftal during sky, ignore lsmes hnm camp times under the guise that there werent enough people, etc etc etc, you know. you were more bothered by some of the stuff than i was so im sure you can think of more

there were probably an abysmal total of 2-3 people in the LS total who saw good personal relations as the top priority in being a good group

that's why this post exists and that's why all the bullshit that happened recently and before happened. i know it's trying to make a huge idea seem simple but it's close to the truth imo
