I have a question for Xav (again). What are your personal thoughts on 22 selling his stuff? The way I see it, he has done his part for the LS and the server so I think he has the right to choose what he does with the items. Also do you agree with other people selling their stuff?

I'd say thats similar to a politician being done w/ his term in congress and then selling secrets to China because its his right to choose how to use the information.

when i see a thread about WoW> FFXI i just ignore it and not read the content of what people think...you know why?

i dont give 2 shits about what you think of what im doing, i can quit this game tommrow and play eve, wow, whatever it is...im sure as hell i didnt play this game for endgame..im still playing it and im still enjoying it..

i didnt play it for being elite with all HQ gear and best HNM drops...i played it cause it was fun for me...and its still fun, if you think you cant find fun in FF no more..thats cool, go play wow or whatever you want..

for example:
i loved doom 1...i enjoyed it and after some time i got bored with it, i cant say that it had shit graphics, or bitch about things that i didnt like in that game..once i got fed up with it, i changed to another game and so on...last time i checked, those games are for fun and not fucking chores that you have to do to keep on living...

there is things that you will enjoy in life, get bored with it then move on, you might miss the good ol' days and the friends you had, but things dont stay intact and shit changes...

It's all a connection issue, mainly steming from your ISP.

Also some people think that certain characters can get 'bugged' and able to do it. Like an auto-roll back type thing.

I know for a fact now thought that SE doesn't monitor gil growth. Having 500mil gil would set off some alarms in my world. I'd wana know were it came from and how. I dont think SE does a lot with past history (except for the census thing they do).

Also items dont have a unique ID number for each one that is made. I'd think this would be the easiest way to combat dupping. Money i can understand... it's harder to track, but unique ID items... this is a must.

Make a sniper +1, and it's number 800,000 on the server. When you see 2+ of the same ID 800,000 items... you know. Or an ID off the person that made it.

Much of the inflation in the past occurred due to the natural growth of the money supply due to quests, sell to npc, etc. There was obviously something gravely wrong over christmas when, across servers, prices doubled. They did something about it, and its not the 1st time. Remember rusty caps?

I swear nobody gives the devs any credit... you do still play this game so you probably like it.

There were drawbacks to being rolled back everytime I get the DC (usually triggered by lag). Like for example, try exping for hours then DC and lose all of that or lose rare/ex drops. But that's minor compared to the gil that can be made, oh yeah!

Anyway, that said. Ondo, I think items do have an ID attached to them. This being in terms of MUD coding (basic LPC), from experience every single item, from garbage to awesome, has a UID and EUID. The EUID is capable to be copied (duped), the UID isn't really <_< (well maybe, been a long time since I looked at LPC).

Odds are FF follows a similar principle, as well as many other MMO's

I wasn't responding to anything else you said in your post, mainly because I agree with what your saying and believe there is a UID system for each item in FFXI. I'm sorry if my post wasn't clear before. I can see how that would of been misinterpreted. Thx for the spelling as well, I'v mentioned a few times my spelling is not the best, but please don't let it effect the validity of my opinions.
