I don't hate FFXI. I'm bored with it. Like many of you, after spending over a year camping for Fafnir or King Behemoth or Aspido, you tend to get bored. After two years of farming sky for some pocket change or abjurations for peoples second or third job, you tend to get bored.

Gear in FFXI does NOT make that huge a difference. Yes, it helps. Yes, it's nice. Some times even pretty. However, you do not need the BEST gear to take out Tiamat. It's possible (Though a longer fight) to do so with all members wearing their 52-60 AF gear. You CAN'T do that in WoW. In *some* cases, you'll pull it off (First few MC bosses, possibly Onyxia with a VERY well organized group), however having better gear helps LOADS more than it does in FFXI.

Majority of the bosses are instanced with a few being Kazzak, the world dragons, and a few I'm unaware of. The thing is that these world bosses do NOT drop *THE* best stuff ever. You will *NOT* camp Kazzak every time he spawns just best of a single fucking sword. Secondly, the spawn timers are rather sporatic that you won't know when he spawns.

In the instances, you don't spend 2-3 hours killing a single Wyrm (Tiamat) and HOPE to get anything other than just a Fire Crystal. When you kill any boss in Molten Core (Think closer to Dynamis), random mobs drop your epic armor, whoever the bosses aren't a "higher chance"... They have a TWO HUNDRED PERCENT OR MORE drop rate.. Meaning it'll drop two or more of the epics it's capable of dropping. In relation to Tiamat, it's like having any two items drop that he's able to drop every single time you kill him.

Am I saying that WoW will NEVER be boring? No. I'm just saying right now that it's got a huge lead of what FFXI has to offer and will ever have to offer in the future.

Go wear it and show off on a wow forum, but I dont see how your epic fits into our FFXI world, nor will we obtain it in FFXI, so stop posting about omg it's 50000 times better, or how your WoW fights are so awesome that you need gears from dungeon 1 to beat them in dungeon 2. We dont care, if we do care we will go to the WoW section of the boards.
