Wafik, seriously, I made a factual segment, that contained little, if zero of my personal opinions comparing both games in that area. I also made a section with my opinions, but I purposely didn't say directly that WoW was godly compared to FFXI. I only stated my preference and nothing more.

Was kinda hoping you'd make a reply like that, it shows your quick judge of temper (not that I'm much better LOL /hothead ftw). Please, in all honesty, read it.

That, and sometime's people can point out other things one may have overlooked and/or did not know. Only human, I make just the amount of mistakes everyone else does, if not more.

Edit: Wafik I'm really not beating the same dead horse over, sure the concept could be considered that way, but the baseline point isn't. Baseline point is that the arguements between which game is better are fucking moot since in all factual non-opinionated material, the comparisons will, very likely, even out completely.

I just read the actual post, and you make a really educated point, I'd respond but its 6 am and I haven't slept yet but I will.

But the reason I skipped it in the first place is that my point was that I don't want to debate the differences between the two games, I want the people who just troll the forums saying how much FFXI sucks to stop posting.

yeah.. im not trying to get anything across about what we do in wow, although i'm proud of it so far. like i said just ff stuff on the ff forums, except in response to comments about wow. it's deserving of a mention there, right?

i post more than "negative" stuff though, people just get all up in arms when i do. i liked a lot of things about ffxi, and i still try to post constructively if not just lighthearted/humorously when i see the opportunity.

i just don't like how criticism is met with hostility, or why you guys think it shouldn't be allowed. if im really "loathing" i'll try to stop, but i did this before i quit ff and i honestly don't remember so much flak back then.

ive talked to so many old bg people in the past few days and have really begun to see how much fun i had and how much i miss the good ol' days . they certainly werent around when we quit but im definitely not forgetting them. i just dont get the hostility, i dont feel angry or hostile toward people because they play ff, just maybe square at most.. and i try to keep that calm and rational too.. shrug..

I was just annoyed, because almost every post you posted here since you left, was the same repetition of WoW vs FFXI. It's like Mormons who stop you in the street and try to force their religion on you, it's annoying, and the more they do it, the more you want to hurl a brick into their face.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to force WoW on anyone. I'm just saying that from my perspective. FFXI was fun. It will be fun for many other people. Enjoy it while it lasts because one day you won't be having fun and be playing like Locktroll, aka "In debt to paying off the other players who helped obtain rare item X!"... That's when the game becomes a chore and boring.

We're not here to show you the light. Discover that on your own. Be it FFXI or WoW or EQ2 or going outside and staring directly at the sun. We have opinions. We don't care what *you* play. We're enjoying new content that many of us have not experienced. Granted a few have experienced most of what WoW currently has to offer, but there's always going to be new until the game is dead. Just like FFXI with their new expansion coming in a couple months.

Oh if anyone else wants to know about me and horrible getting drop items, I've ran a full Dire Maul - West run maybe in the upward of 20-30 times and I have *never* seen Chestplate of Tranquility drop off the last boss. So don't think for a minute I only hold resentment for some FFXI drops, that friggan bodypiece is driving me insane.

How does me playing both, and quitting one, make me a hippocrite. And yes, alot of WoWers keep posting here about how faaaaaaabulous WOW is, which I dont mind.. once.. twice, every 2nd post? You arent intentionally trying to "Show us the light" but that doesnt mean that a ton of posts, for no reasons at all, become FFXI v WoW, and not to mention that only the negatives of FFXI are focused, and the positives of WoW are focused.

Like I said, play your game, we dont care about WoW, we care about FFXI, so while you get your epics, aslong as we cant wear them in FFXI we dont care.

If you're playing for fun, why do you need to justify your gameplay by coming and posting wow stuff to the FFXI players? If our game sucks so bad, why do you all feel the need to stay posting here? To rub it in or something? Kind of weak.

Edit : I got to 10, my friends showed me the rest of end-game, was interesting, sure, but not the holy grail that everyone keeps spamming the FFXI forums with.

4 monthes ago I had almost 0 interest in playing WoW. After getting spammed alot from all over, I tried it again. Now I have at least 5 friends who play WoW with me because I kept badgering them about it.
