If you hate FFXI

lolololol and nobody cares about BGv2. I remember when BG was seen as gods amongst men but now, its nothing more than fags amongst scrubs. I did regret migrating but now its not so bad since my BG buddies quit for WoW. You know I <3 you but you can't deny that its just not the same as when bert etc were around.

As for bert, he paid his dues, he and along with a few others created this place for you and I, he helped us get where we are and speaking as an addicted to hell FFXI player; I don't dislike bert's posts because they keep my mindset an unpretentious one when it comes to FF's quality.

Whether they care or not about us isn't an issue. Whether or not Bert & co left (and even when they were still here) has nothing to do with the "BG hype" dying down. BG is still a great LS, which can do a lot of things, we don't need, or have never have needed a fan club of people sucking our dick (although it feeeeels gewd). If you feel it's fags amongst scrubs then that's how you feel, but that's not how it is. There's no more gay inner circles, no more segregation and no more feeling like BG is 2 halfs.

The LS isn't the same as when Bert & co were here, but I'll be honest. I'm glad. Like Nirokun said I enjoy the LS a lot more now then I did then. I have absolutely nothing against Berticus, I really did appreciate the hardwork and effort he put into the LS, and I'll always respect him and be grateful. But there's a thin line between critisizing a game constructively, and critisizing it constructively so much that no one gives a fuck anymore, people get annoyed, and topics like this get made. It wouldn't be so bad if he had new points to argue, but it's really just the same thing again and again (and isn't that why people got annoyed and left FFXI; doing the same shit over and over?).

I've made 3 posts in the WoW section, one telling people to stfu and enjoy the game they game (back when BG first moved) and 2 in a topic I made about a webcomin I found quite funny in Ctrl Alt Del. If you go to the WoW section a shit load of the posts and topics are about how great WoW is and how FFXI sucks. But that's ok, cause it's in the WoW section.

letting your own threads die about the game you love is no reason to drag such insults to FFXI. True, this is a thread where strong opinions by xav were layed out, but the endless rolling of defense after defense of your game... come on. I like turnip greens, I think they're great. I dont need someone berating me the great virtues of how kale owns turnip greens up and down with flavor, texture, and nutrition. I like what I like, and you like what you like. I read it, but you're still missing the point.

This section is called FFXI Talk.

Theres a section called The WoW Forum.

Its just crazy enough to expect things about WoW to be in one section, and things about FFXI to be in another, and the two to never have to mix.

If there was a section called "FFXI vs. Wow", I could understand the constant comparisons and debates between the two games, except, there isn't. So while I read your post, and I agree w/ a lot of the things you said, that wasn't the point of the thread.

Marc, you did a non-biased comparison about the 2 games. Fact is, people who play FFXI, KNOW it's not as good as WoW, we know how the gear and loot is so awesome, we know the encounters are challenging and varied, we know about the service and support. I KNOW WoW is better, but I still won't play it. But people putting FFXI down and looking like fan BABIES isn't gonna change our minds either. You know why?

If we did care that much we'd all be playing WoW. It was a good essay, but it really was not neseccary. All you did was beating a dead horse (FFXI vs WoW) in 200000 words, while someone else can beat the horse with 20 words.

My entire point was that either group saying which one is greater is silly. Yes, and I understand why it's logical to keep said topics in each other.

However, not everyone has a logical sense to do this. There are stupid people from WoW who come to this section, and stupid people (give it time), who will go to the FFXI section, that is all. The whole point of the post I guess was to try and get to the people who haven't come to this medium yet to realize it.

I think there's always been a seperation in BG, if you read my post(s) you'd have seen me say that. Just cause we played together doesn't mean we have to agree. Shit, we didn't even agree that much as a whole shell.
