OK no, plz read up on it or use common sense. There is no trading involved. It basically direct connect/p2p/dcc. Things stored on your computer, character models, fonts for communication, ergo you can only transfer things stored on each other's pc vis-a-vis model data and talking. Things stored on servers... Items.

Coz appologized to me and a friend recently about being very angry towards us in a party in Kuftal Tunnel (In July I think).

I think it is more like, they are just able to both be in their moghouses on their own servers, then when they "link" or whatever, it shows eachother's character model and name, in the Screenshot, a guy waved, but it wasn't to the other person, so maybe they aren't targettable? I didn't read the windower site about it though, but if it allowed Trade between worlds... um... would be a huge crackdown on windower I am sure O_O

One of the screenshots shows him targetting the other guy. But in the forums they recently said you can't trade or anything.

I don't see why people are panicking with that. It's not like you will be able to do anything.

Moghouse is generated on your PC, using the default .dat. It's not an actual area in a sense, it's more like an interactive menu. Plugging simply create a connections with someone else to trade your character .dat, movement and chat log, while using use the FFXI's engine function to show them on your screen.


Only problem I can see is if it the program allow you to "call" your moghouse from anywhere. It would be doable, but since job hack patch, I don't think using the option to change job would work.

whoopdyfreakindoo, i dont even know anyone from another server, and if you have to talk to someone that bad from another server, guess what, theres this little program, you may have heard of it, its called aim, theres another one, its called msn, and guess what, windower in the form its in now allows you to do that without any problems at all


idk, i just see this as being bad, whether it allows an opening for anything more is yet to be seen, but i can almost guarantee SE will have a definite problem with this

i love windower as it is now, you start putting too many things into it and we will no longer have windower

Your character doesnt actully transfer to the server. It is just a mirror image. You can tab the other person(s), moogle, door and etc, but you cant actully do anything with them, since essentially youre just a ghost.

You never really leave your MH, the windowers just communicate and tricks your FFXI to be a model viewer of sorts and adds you to the persons MH. You can even /wave 'name' and it'll work. You even see how that person MHs looks. When the program is active it filters out all chat so that nothing can be detected for an extra precaution, because supposedly, GMs cant see what you do/say in your own MH.

Surealistic, just consider it as an interactive chat window I guess. Yes, it's useless, but being able to zone in someone else moghouse is something a few people already asked, as useless as it is.


Anyway, it won't make windower illegal because there is no way SE know you are doing that. Everything in moghouse happen on your computer, and no info is sent to server other than when you use jobChange(job), deliveryBoxOpen() from the menu . Well, I've no clue what's the name of the actual function or the data flag sent to the server,, but it's something similar.

Privacy, and to show off your MH.

You can invite anyone from anywhere (via p2p moglink) to your MH, and you can have a huge amount of people in at one time.

idk, to me it just seems like a little too much, like i said i love my windower, and if i lose it so someone can show off thier moghouse to someone from another server, im gonna be pissed as hell
