The unofficial sequel to Cavedog's masterpiece, "Total Annihilation" is in the works. Supreme Commander from GasPoweredGames is said to hit the shelves sometime in 2007. Looking forward to the E3 coverage.

<3 Big Bertha! TA was the best RTA game in my opinion. It was one of the few RTS that a "Zerg rush" was not a 100% win. Commander's cannon > Your whole zerg.

^-- Best RTS to date, if you ask anyone who's played them. Released in 1997 for Windows '95. You can pick up a copy of it on Ebay for 5~10$ with both expansions. It was truely the most groundbreaking and history setting game since Pong. Believe me, 3d weather physics (aka debres bouncing on the ground) was impressive compared to Command and Conquer. Also, it executed Land, Sea, Underwater, and Air fights that are still rivaled by today's top RTS games.

TAUCP (Total Annihilation Unit Compilation Pack) includes upwards to 400 new units.

Basically, a Krogoth Gantery was released for the Arm, and addition to "Core onry." -- Also, there's a 3rd tier of construction for both factions, 5000 unit limit, and did i mention 400 new units?

From the looks of this, they learned from ther fuck up with TA: Kingdoms. :D God that game was utter trash. And for all you C&C fans, TA > C&C any day; hands down. There are so many ways to win and lose in TA; there are no clear cut zerg wins. TA is so good that we all play it at work through our local network, even the boss.

I hate how new RTS are so in depth and have like gay mechanical/cyborg units. Starcraft sequel is the only sequel I'll ever buy.
