No offense, but genie weskit is pretty much e-penis only too. The added damage is nice, but won't really make a difference in the long run.

Genie weskit is still a complete waste of money if you consider "what that money could have bought for the group". As are almost all white-box items.

ALL equipment in FFXI is e-peen material. None of it really significantly improves your performance. None of it.

Some equipment does. Things like haste gear for a ninja significantly improves your ability to blink tank.

People forget blm don't really get alot of rare crafted gear. Unless you were an idiot who wanted full zenith+1, theres nothing else worth hqing besides weskit and zgloves. All other jobs, especially melee have multiple crazy hq gear for like every slot. As a blm I really don't know where to spend my money alot of the time.

last time I checked, you're whole party/allience isnt equipping the one sword. Weapons are personal, use to improve yourself, or *gasp* have fun with.

Weapons are personal, I dont see how you need a weapon to benefit -everyone-. Last time I checked, the horn is +2 all songs, that includes minuet, wow +2 attack to minuet makes almost no difference. People only cream about it for ballad, which affects *gasp* 1 bunch of people, mages!

Let people have their fun with relic weapons, and dont smudge your bleeding vagina over what could have been a nice topic.

Everyone on asura loves relic weapons, but hardly anyone has one, simply due to the fact alot of people quit after getting to lvl3 (wasting 20x 100 a pop, 3 quitters = what you need for lvl4).
Recently I did an open server attestation run with alot of people on the server, JP, NA , people that other people hate, whatever. We all came together to help get attestations for eachother. Well actually they all came to leech ;p my LS can do this alone, but either way it was a nice day. Relic weapons are nice. True they're not as mind blowing as they should be, but if upgrading was as worthless as you thought, alot of the motivation from leaders/people would be gone to do dynamis.

If people werent there with the motivation of upgrading relic weapons, alot of you would be running around in cities wiping over and over.

Thats amusing, a Dynamis LS on my server has gotten two (Katana - Sadam, H2h - Muze) and has one person @ stage 3 w/ all coins needed to finish... just needs attestation & fragment. They also have someone who just obtained 4th stage staff.
