I do not believe Islam is a violent religion. I do believe that a large number of Mulims have hijacked the religion by causing violence in the name of Islam. "Biased" media aside, you cannot expect people in the West to sympathize with Palestinians when they blow themselves up and kill innocent people on purpose. These are not freedom fighters. You will never convince the West otherwise. And unfortunately for Palestinians, the citizens in the West are exactly who you need to convince.

Israel and Palestine will never be at peace with one another unless another country intervenes. There is simply too much hatred on both sides. For good or for bad, America is the country currently trying to resolve this war. Do I believe the US administration blindly supports Israel at every turn? Absolutely. Do I like it? No. When American citizens start forcing our government to intervene in an unbiased way, then you will see real change. As it is right now, we have issues that are more important to us (economy, social security, health care) that affect our daily lives. In time I hope this will change and more emphasis will be placed on foreign affairs. Until that itme, blowing up innocent Israeli women and children and then having the majority of the Mulim world call them freedom fighters will not sway Americans to your side.
