Apocalypse Nigh BCNM Speculation

just got ethereal. Went to test on iron crabs. Had to take off all my so they could hit me hard enough. Got hit for 35 dmg and got 1 mp. Not sure if it rounds or not. Still playing around with it. Anyone have any luck with follow up cs or anything? I noticed mission log changed. Now both CoP and RoZ mission say "The Last verse".

Banigaru, if you're bored, could you give us some numbers on:

Moldavite + No earring vs. Moldavite + Static (to get accurate idea of % bonus, assuming it's % like AF2 gloves and not MAB)

and Phantom + Moldavite vs. Phantom + Static.

Also, if you're really bored and have the equip, could test, AF2 gloves + Moldavite vs. Zenith Mitts (NQ) + Static.

Ok so i did a little testing in dioramah with deme...

there was a 47 dmg difference when using thunder 4 between Static as compared with phantom, which at the time came out to about 5%, 981/w static, 934.

and what is this blm af2 of which you speak, i know not of it's existance ._>'

this was tested insanely with the +15 conserve mp avatar ring (levi i think?)

It's increased activation. It was something like.... conserve mp is -7% average MP saved overall, and do to increased procs it was +15% to that 7%

so... 7 x 1.15 = 8.05% saved due to that ring

I would NOT get the conserve mp earring, but yeah to each his own

You might be talking about me lol. I did a test once where I casted Cure I on myself 100 times with Duende Cotehardie and 100 times without Duende Cotehardie. No clue where the link is though.

Even if you do have Novio, if Static vs. Moldavite is the same as AF2 gloves vs. Zenith, then swap it in for MB over Moldavite in the same macro as the AF2.

We need to know how this MB bonus stacks up compared to a Moldy earring.

I'm still not sure which earring I'd want (as a RDM). I don't exactly MB much (and don't really plan on level BLM ever) so I don't see static being too great for me. Though the magic defense bonus would be nice for Stoneskin and such and MND+2 isn't bad for WHM enfeebles but I don't see it being great for me. Hollow earring is just meh :\ I like solo-ing but if it's something too hard I do it the bind nuke sleep nuke etc method rather than straight up melee. Etheral Earring seems pretty nice though (especially since PLD is a job I want to level). So far I'm leaning more towards magnetic earring.. Magnetic and Loq. Earring and macro in Enfeebling Earring for enfeebles with Loq. Earring maybe. I'm still not sure. :\ Etheral Earring for solo-ing + PLD (when I level it) or Magnetic Earring for RDM. So tough to decide.

As in Sunday afternoon or later? Obviously you don't need to wait a conquest week in order to do the Monarch's Orb BC, but.. who cares? This isn't that. This is something else.

I'm guessing everyone who CAN flag the quest beat Bahamut a while ago, while the people who can't, only just recently beat it.

Yes, I didn't finish Zilart until recently (BC + Gilga and Aldo CS), however, several other people who I did the last BC with were able to get the Ru'Lude Gardens CS right after getting Aldo's CS, so I dunno what to do

I don't think there's anything strange gonig on here. Pepole who are claiming to have done all the prerequisites are missing a cutscene somewhere. I've done almost no quests, I don't even have enough fame to get a lot of the first avatar quests, rank 9, don't have diabolos summon. Yesterday i didn't have ZM17 finished and couldn't get CS. Finished ZM17 and got two CS after i beat the BC, and bam instant CS in Ru'Lude. you guys are missing either

a) a cutscene after Bahamut #1

or

b) one or both cutscenes after ZM17

I was amazed by the number of people in my LS yesterday who didn't even know what ZM17 was. They thought that if you're done with Divine Might you've finished all ZMs.
