Just won Titan now, 4th try, 5 SMN, 3 BLM, 4 RDM, 1 BRD, 2 WHM, 2 WAR, 1 MNK.

Alright, Titan BC was cheese.
Ifrit on the other hand was ver problematic.

The Fire Elementals in his BC would repop every 10 seconds. We had four black mages (three for Titan) that couldn't keep them down. When the Avatar uses Astral Flow, the elementals all cast Firaga III at the same time, lol.

You need the 6 main avatars to get the quest. Thats it.

You need to be able to SUMMON the 6 prime avatars, not just have beaten them. If you only chose gil or items, and don't have a pact with all 6 avatars, you won't get the key item here.

Ifrit Leviathan Titan down easily, first try, 1 or 2 death per 2hr

8 BLMs, could do it with 4 rdm blm or 5blm, melee on the avatar

and you dont need to be able to summon, you just need all 6 initial avatar quests complete atleast once (ie, turn in the whisper once).

ok i can't get the quest activated, i've beaten all 6 before, have the pact with all but one, if it's not having to summon all 6, then did everyone that can do this beat fenrir before?

You need to be able to summon them. Every single person that couldn't get the quest that we saw has at least one avatar they can't summon. Every person that was able to get the quest, was able to summon all 6. This is what we figured out after we watched about 30 people check the quest ???.

The same thing happened to me.

You have to bring back all 6 whispers at least once to complete the quests first.

We killed Titan on Earthsday, in which the Earth Elementals were five minute repops. We proceeded to Ifrit on Waters day, then Leviathan on Winds day. All of the elementals were 10 second repops with Ifrit&Leviathan, and Levi spammed Spring Water.

We're going to see what the repop times are with Shiva on Ice day.

We did Ramuh Titan Garuda so far, entering Ifrit now. They're all more or less the same fight it seems, once your group has a decent strat down it's not too bad.
