Was there even a decent cutscene at the end? After we beat xarca, seeing that cutscene was cool; it brought back memories of doing ranks like a year earlier.

Some of the CoP cutscenes were rather poignant, and I was mostly impressed with the cutscenes.

I actually took a 3 month break right when CoP came out, so I got to miss the whole promyv-hell thing. I didn't start them till after the patch that made them pussy. Only took me one try on each. The only BC's that gave my static trouble were the airships. We beat the rest of the fights the first (or second, after a dry run) try.

Has any AF2 dropped yet at all? or any hydra gear, for that matter? I like dynamis a lot, and will do tav regardless, just to do it and get the win, but have you gotten any items other than a few currency yet?

My LS had DRK pants -1 drop last time we were in. That's the only non-currency drop out of 4 or 5 runs if I remember correctly.

We got smn af2 horn off a Kindred. Kindreds pop on the 3rd floor (Xarc AF) and Hydras on the second (Beaucedine AF)

I like the one time we were farming Hydra, I was like "1 eye 2 mobs inc", and was running back, then as we're killing them, 4 eyes and 8 hydra and 4 pets come running and sodomized us all ;(

I wish bard could at least sleep them in bcd, it's kind of poopoo. They are nice to farm.

The Hydra are sleepable, so they're much easier. The cutscene sucked hardcore ... the following was the text of the cutscene:

Actually, the second line of dialog there can apparently be one of 4 different things depending on which Diabolos you kill (our other group killed a different Diabolos and got a different line of dialog). There is also another possible line of dialog, but we're not sure where it would be place. All of the possible lines of dialog from the dats that looks like it applies to this CS are as follows:

This dialog further ties the storyline between the two.

IMO, there is probably more than one way to win this zone. There are 3 ??? in the dats ... killing Diabolos is the most obvious way; however, I think that there is another way or two to win the zone that is completely unrelated to Diabolos.

I'm going to hope that the other ways involve drops and more than an hour in time extension. New shit is fun to do, but it's nice to have a bone tossed to you occasionally for your hard work, gil, effort, time, and xp loss.

Got an hour and a half worth of time in tav today. Our linkshell's 1st attempt. Killed Antlion on 3rd floor. Worm on 2nd. Bugard on 1st. Diaboloses pwned us and depopped. Thats the basic run through.

Now for the interesting part. In the hallway between the nomad moggle and the AH i found a ??? between the eyes in the hallway. Pulled one and then touch the ???. Triggered all repops on the middle floor minus the subjob mobs. Caught us off guard and re-popped hydras and bees owned us. The interesting part is. After touching the ??? it gave us an additional 30 min.

Also our drops were DRG brais-1 and Hydra Spats. Bumped this mostly because i read nothing about that re-pop ???.
