Speaking of SE promotional events, they're having a video submission contest now. You have to submit up to 7 minutes of in-game footage for the competition.

Guess they support third-party programs, afterall!

If you have 2 PCs, and one has a Video Card capable of video capture, you do not need any 3rd party programs to record a video, technically.
