As a blm I'd kill for this torque. It is, imho, one of the best neck pieces for a blm. 50% mp up...us this. Below 50% mp...use pendant. Elemental Torque is crap...most blms burst on SC...meaning you rarely get resisted anyway. An extra 5 int goes a long way on those bursts.

Club skill for whm is a joke. It has no practical endgame purpose. When was the last time you send a whm to melee an hnm? Whm should be low down on the priority list.

I could see a case made for this for drk, but I think for a ws they'd be better off with an elemental gorget anyway.

This neckpiece should go by rights to blm first. End of story.

I'm no BLM but i hear my LSs BLMs bitching about getting resisted on HNMs all the fucking time, so I'm in agreement with Mdn about Elemental Torque onry for BLM (or Ugg pendant), this for DRK.

    lolno

DRK gets the most use out of it, not blm. DRK can use the torque for DL (kraken) and GSW on everything else...This piece of equip is pretty pimp for seasoned DRKs out there. Trying to dispute that this benefits BLM more is just being an item whore, end of story.

elemental gorgets are only good on multiple hit WS, no? I'd keep justice torque on all the time for sam. (str is a multiplier, +7 skill is unquestionable.) I could see it being amazing for a drk in the same respect.

Come on, 2 extra INT will be... +4 damage on a tier 4, after MAB, staff, merits and bursting that might even reach a massive +12 damage. Thats ALMOST an entire +1% extra damage for those times you don't need elemental skill of torque and have more mana than ugglphi will give you. Thats... end of story. Please insert another $0.25.

    DRK >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> BLM > WHM

DRK's WS is modified by this.

Acc/Attack controlled by skill , yet another factor in GS WS's.

BLM dont resist that much. Int wont change anything if you're resisting, if you wanna do damage you'll be using the ugg pendant.

    Places to use prudence torque/pendant - niddy/aspid/kb/sea/non xarc dynamis/wyrms(if you're add handling)
places to use ele torque - sky/dynamis-xarc/wyrms(if you're nuking them)

    Have all 3 around, easy.

That said, I passed on a prudence torque so a drk could have it because drk >>>>> blm on torque

edit: sure, if you're hell bent on only having 1 neckpiece around, I'd go for the ele torque

Tbh, its not stellar for any of these jobs. Its best for Drk for sure.

Skill doesn't do a whole lot for SAWS, at least with 2h weapons. This would be useful for Drk for Gswrd TP gain the most. WS you'd probably get better and more consistent numbers using Gorget, or even Justice Toruqe. Modifers do so little for actual WS, Str pieces would be better.

For Blm I'd never see a use for this. Trading 7 skill for such a paltry number like 5 INT isn't even close to worth it. As Mnd said, getting one resist would result in a lot less damage over time than using a 5 INT piece. Despite what some E-peen BLMs say, we do get resisted more than we like to admit on HNMs, even with capped Elemental Merits. I still find myself switching in Druid's Slops sometimes on Fafh and CoP wyrms when nuking them. Even when soloing IT mobs, you will be resisted at least 1/20 times(5%, which his about what I've parsered in KRT mbps to be a static resist rate), if not more.

For WHM, its a toy. /shrug

Drk > Blm > Whm IMO.

Give it to your hardcore DRK, if you have one.

    Wouldn't give this to a DRK that didn't have a k.club.

Oh yeah--the LS did. Who cares that it benefits DRKs ridiculously well considering the fact your weapon's skill level as well as your INT is taken into account for the damage of GSD WS.

You can let some BLM have an extra 12 dmg on Thunder IV when they're soloing, or you can give a DRK an extra (most likely) 50dmg on their SATA WS on an HNM, in addition to having better accuracy. 7 skill levels >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 10acc from peacock chram.

DRK, onry, period. End of fucking story. Do the math yourself and you'll figure it out.

    I would.

As said above, there are 3 jobs that would even bother carrying this in their inventory.

For Whm, it's +7 club only. Uh...yea...whm melee? Complete toy.

For Blm, it's +2 int over the Philomath, +4 int over tiger stole, and competes with 2 other "sideways improvement" solid necks: enfeebling torque for high hnms, and ugg.pendant for situational use. I could see giving this to a blm who went out and got Philomath and wears it often; reward his effort by letting him sell the philomath and wear a cool torque instead. Any other blm? Nah.

For Drk, it's 7 attack / 7 acc when using gs, very sexy for building TP, though the appropriate gorget would be better for the actual WS. Just so you know, drk scythe caps at 276, their gs caps at 269, so if you like them creating light, then this will help them build TP faster, as they could use the extra gs skill.

This echos my sentiments, we have DRK's but none that really play and focus on it. If you have a hardcore DRK that doesn't suck, I would agree. 7 actual weapon skill is fucking nuts. Hell I would give it to WHM next for the same reason.

Sorry i can't see the argument for BLM All the BLM's nuke too strong for their own good anyways, 2 INT isn't worth it.

The above arguement is also why I want fort torque after the PLD's and WAR's are done

DRK should get it first no questions asked. After that I think both WHM and BLM should lot. It's not like +2 INT is game breaking and it isn't going to be the difference between winning and losing any major fight especially when you have 2 other pieces that you use as well. Looks like it's mostly a toy for BLM to be used outside of HNMs so they could do a little more dmg. It is a toy for a WHM, but it is one of the best toys there is.
