    Udate problems from S-E

    I generally only read stuff here but I thougt this info from OCR was imporatant:


    Important Notices
    From: FINAL FANTASY XI

    Warning in Regards to FINAL FANTASY XI Uninstall
    ------------------------------------------------------------
    Recently we have discovered that closing the PlayOnline viewer during the version update process will cause FINAL FANTASY XI to not launch.

    When this occurs, users will have to reinstall FINAL FANTASY XI as stated in the instruction that appears upon attempting to log into FINAL FANTASY XI. However, please be aware of the following upon FINAL FANTASY XI reinstallation.

    Upon reinstallation, users will be instructed to uninstall existing files. During this process, users will be asked if it is okay to delete the dll files. Please select "No to all" option. If you select "Yes" and delete the files, severe problem can occur to your computer hardware, such as Windows OS not starting. Please be very careful upon reinstall process.

    In regards to the version update process, we are currently working to implement a PlayOnline version update where users will no longer have to reinstall or uninstall due to the termination of the version update process due to any unforeseen reason.
    No idea how they could screw up so bad.

    Your kidding me right? This shit has been going on for like a year+ now. Ive had it happen to me and others have too. What? Some JP have to reinstall FFXI and now they fix it? It's bullcrap they even need to fix it, it shouldnt have done this to ever begin with. Score 1 more for SE b

    eh there is a way to overcome this without having to reinstall, Pikarya posted it on Kupo member forums, and someone re-posted it someplace on here because people were getting the reinstall message.

    This means that... both of them randomly go underground and own you while you can't target or fight them now instead of just 1? I knew that had to be a glitch or something.

    JoP use to disappear after you beat one of them. Then you just have to find him using AoE magic spells and kill him rather easily. Not anymore.

    Now he still does his disappearing act but it's not prem. He will reappear and rape some random person with a Triple Attack then disappear again and do it to someone else. Sometimes we didn't even see the damage in the chat screen either, ppl just died. His triple attack kicks in a lot to the point that it looks like he's got Hundred Fists. He couldn't be debuffed at all. Voking didn't do anything either. 80% of the fight with both of them Lockecole ended up tanking both of them at the same time.

    Still pulled off a win and got the Virture too. He's a lot harder now though. Enjoy.
