I dunno man, the way I see it, The child is a living person. I don't believe that abortion is right. No, it has nothing to do with religious influence, just my logic tells me that the fetus is a new life form at the moment of conception. I see every abortion as a potential person that could have changed the world, but was abandoned instead just because the mom was too much of a coward to take responsibility of her actions.

now I know we could argue and say "what if it was rape?" waaah she should be able to have an abortion if it wasn't her choice. Well, it does seem unfair.. but since when was life ever fair anyway?

I kind of cried when I saw that.

What if the woman didn't want to have a baby?

What if the woman is actually poor, and her child is going to have a real bad life, have some diseases because she can't pay for the medicines, doctors and such?

What if the doctors know for sure the child is retarded (don't know the english name for this, trysomy?) and the woman prefer to not have the child, and avoid him to have a f'ing painful life?

Some people are talking about adoption, but do you know how it is to have a new person in your body for 9 months? Baby isn't something you create in 1 day by adding sugar to water. It takes 9 months, its sometimes painfull, the woman changes alot while this time, mentally AND physically. A baby isn't something you just give away to some random people and get over it.

The funny thing is, no one that is pro-choice thinks that this should be the case...the pro-life people put this law in effect and now use it against the pro-choice...yay for straw dog arguments. The pro-choice people faught against this because they knew it was just the pro-life people laying the ground work for the eventual push to outlaw abortion. That's why pro-choice people adamantly defend partial birth abortion, even though 99% of people everywhere think it's despicible...kinda like the NRA and assault rifles.

Ummm... Just because I say it, that doesn't make it so. Same goes for you sir. Responsibility it the reasonable expectation of civilized people the world over. Perhaps the reason you don't believe in it is you don't expect it?

To some extent responsibility has everything to do with the ethical question of abortion. Just because I don't make my grass grow, that doesn't mean I'm not responsible for cutting it. Abortion as an ethical question has already been answered by the public, you just didn't like the answer because it didn't fit into your value system. If I kill a pregnant woman in a drunken driving accident while she is on her way to an abortion clinic, thats two counts of vehicular manslaughter. If the same woman aborts it, then it became a "choice" somewhere during the drive to the clinic. Seems pretty obvious to me.

Here, you go spouting off about the whole drunk driving thing again, even though it had been put to rest 24 hours beforehand. I hate having to repeat myself to people that don't have the intelligence to read everything in the thread before spouting off about it. Maybe I used a harsh tone...but I fail at suffering fools. I specifically left my college out of it...for all you know it could be harvard, it could be Clemson, it could be IUPUI...you don't know because I didn't want it to overshadow the fact that you are a moron, and you act like the morons I had to deal with in class who think they're so much smarter than everyone else, but in fact, are just mindless tools that couldn't do anything if they didn't get it spoonfed to them.

As for emo...I'm not the one who obviously has an inferiority complex to anyone that attended college, regardless as to how bad that college's reputation could be (maybe I went to Arizona State, or Louisville)...and even if I was emo (last time I checked, I don't wear black, listen to obscure music that really sucks, or cut myself), I hardly think you would be a cause of it.

hmm...you didn't seem to understand what I said. No one mentioned that silly argument again until you did because it didn't help support their position. It was earlier mentioned because it supported the pro life stance, but when revealed that is was nothing more than a straw dog argument (i.e. a debate tactic where one builds up a position expressly to bring it down to make their position look that much better, also known as a strawman...it is considered a fallacy) no one else mentioned it.
