IRON also has an Aegis too i think, its not uncommon for an LS to sponsor a single relic weapon if the person they're helping out is dedicated and legit, however an LS helping someone out who's liable to go throw it all away on a whim is why alot of people dont agree with this method.

my LS came to the decision that we'd upgrade 1 weapon to stage 4 one instance at a time...this method is harder on everyone else, in a debate between if it's fair to everyone else or not...its obviously not fair, but without a doubt its the fastest way to get results. there are two ways to look at it but in the end, its up to whatever your LS leaders decide.

i hope to have Ancile by Jan. 2007 but that depends on how long the person ahead of me in "upgrading priority" takes. if you start at stage 1 and work to stage 4 and sponsor every dynamis, given that these areas arent the new ones, which have absurd drop rates on currency, it'll take about 5-6 months to get to stage 4.

and imo, relic weapons are very effective against DL, if you have 2 weapons and you can Light SC, it gives the BLMs a huge advantage since they'll MB for at least twice as much damage, my LS is 1/5 on DL but out of everyone who's parsered on him it always seems like BLMs get hella resisted...ga IIIs for 300ish and IVs for 600 at best, i've heard SCs from relic weapons gives a bonus to MBs but i've never seen any evidence of this happening.

Dumb question but i've never seen a straight answer on this, maybe you can enlighten me Muze:

When you upgrade from stage3->4 what is the trade order to the goblin in vahzl?
Do you just hand him the stage3+currency+attestation all at once or split the transaction up like hand him the katana+attestation then the currency?

Uhh yeah I wonder about that too lol.
I had nightmares after doing my stage3 turn-in that I was going to come back after 1 RL week and the goblin was going to say:

'Whatchu talkin' bout Navia, you didnt give me any currency or relic to upgrade!'
You don't get a key item or anything during the upgrade waiting periods - makes you wonder if GM's can even help if an upgrade goes bad

I wonder if the poor bastard that posted on here that traded 16 jadeshells to the wrong goblin and ended up with a lancewood log ever got them back

Exactly why I'm not doing -anything- until I have enough currency + attestation to do 1st, 2nd, and 3rd upgrades back to back to back. And always trade the weapon first not the currency

attestation+ weapon, then currency I think.
Look at the SS and you'll see the order.

Then for last stage, when you have the fragment in possetion, talk to the goblin, he'll meantion he can only upgrade weapon and there is nothing you can do, however you'll recieve the CS of ??? start talking to you, and fill you in on the last requirements.

I think for stage2->3 I just traded him everything at once which worked because I was afraid of doing a partial trade and screwing it up.

I wonder if anyones ever been brave enough to just turn in the attestation+weapon early, then come back in 6 months with the currency
I'm assuming once you trade the attestation+weapon hes holding onto it for good and will keep bugging you about the ~61 100piece fee whenever you talk to him.

i've traded both stage 1>2 and stage 2>3 in seperate parts, being items first then currency...stage 2>3 i traded the items+weapon right after i got stage 2 complete just so i wouldnt have to hold on to the items, about a month later i traded the currency to him on a Tuesday, i came back next Monday night and he was done with it...so i doubt trading it in parts seperated by a period of time has any affect on the outcome.

I turned in dynamis staff + attestation like a year ago for inventory space, lol.. it won't "mess up" or "go bad" '-' He still asks for currency.
