Unji + Unsho =

the poster on the thread is a retard and didn't really prove anything, as twolves said. the thread really just seemed like a way for him to brag that he had jins as high as a relic katana (which is dumb considering the way jin works, among many other things).

as far as the original question, they are just normal katanas, which give nice dex/str bonuses, and have low delay.

people like them mostly for those reasons alone, because you can get some decent jins and you swing a lot faster than with 227 delay katanas.
they're nice for messing around, and in merit parties and other stuff, but i'd never use em for something more serious than that.

for the most part though, they're incredibly overrated simply because of the rarity. a lot of times i hear people saying they turned down 100M gil for the unsho and all i really can think is "idiot."

they're just normal katanas, with a lot of hype. not bad, but they aren't some kind of amazing weapon combo either.

lol at last check on Asura Unji is 17 mil, Unsho around 70-80 mil ._. (guessing on Unsho since it doesn't sell on the AH)

With full haste setup, I can see potential in Unji+Unsho combo.

Not willing to spend 40M+ on Unsho so I'll stick with Senj+Unji. ^^

if you're going at least 18-21% haste, the amount of delay you lose with fudo/senj is greater than that of u+u, so hitting harder and faster, with bigger jin's + way higher crit rate will really rack up over time.

ya know, russta brings up a good point. I'd actually love to see the same player use the u+u combo and compare in a parse against hototogisu and kitsutsuki...be interesting to see what your getting for all that gil.

All the data I have seen shows that Senji + Fudo has a higher DPS than Unji + Unsho. Plus the higher base damage and crit rate is going to give you much better Jin's.

I'd rather try it first hand later on, but looking at the numbers it seems pretty clear which is better.

somebody who did parse the 2 extensively proved how the haste made fudo/senj more quick than haste did to u+u. If I'm not too busy I can find him and you can see.

The simple math I can give you: 20% of 227=45.4 20% of 201=40.2 lets round down in both cases here, 227 becomes 182 and 201 becomes 161. the difference 45 and 40 shows that fudo/senj is closing the gap to u+u quicker with the more haste you add, and it does more dmg per swing, more crits, better jins...

his katanas parse same as Relic" WELL YOU ARE WRONG.
Read what i wrote, i said that relic would be better on high defense
monsters, but the average monsters that you exp off of like
in Uleguerand Range, it will parse the same because of a cap.
I ALSO said i never claimed any katana was best, in different
situations, different katanas would provide better results.

Next, I averaged 99999 on IT++ monsters. Yes, it is easy to say
something like this but can you prove it? i can show you proof
of every parse because i saved each one. People you said stuff like
"oh i averaged 900 jin on sea VT Aern" <<< what bullshit is this?
Prove it to me, show me the parse, and i will forever worship you.

People talk and think they know everything. If one person can show me
a parse of 800 or more jin damage in a Ulegeurand Range XP PT
over at least 70~80 monsters, I will forever shut up and stop arguing.

At last, no one in this forum, or KI forum, or anywhere in any server
and provide this parse result. (That's too bad.)
