Unji + Unsho =

...i was trying to prove a point that there is indeed a defense cap. If there wasnt, i wouldve seen a huge difference between relic and unji. You talking about Deco Weapons does not apply. The fact that they have higher defense, it would be hard for katana to reach defense cap on those.

Dude serious, go buy yourself a 33DMG katana and parse your WS average on some LVL30 monster as compared to your Fudo, you wont see any difference at all if you had elite equip. Oh wait... you cant even parse yourself can you... sigh, ignored, goodbye.

Of course, weapon delay is important, and weapons don't hit the the high end of thier damage cap as often they should, otherwise 2handed weapons would you know, be good.

But... what is your point, you see no difference on level 30 mobs? ...Thats not exactly practical, it doesn't matter if a level 70 weapon hits as hard as its level 30 counterpart if you can kill it in two hits either way, it doesn't work the same way on anything with actual defense, which is the only thing people care about parsing.

Even with magic..My stone3's can do the same damage on Wasps in Rolanberry and the same (if not more) on demons.

i have unsho and unji, and i honestly dont see a difference in jin damage compared to fudo senj, however they have slightly lower dmg per hit, but make up for it with the delay. in a shot fight, they probably arnt as good as fudo/senj, but in long fights where you WS more, i think their damage is better. Plus the Subtle blow is nice and i enjoy having them since i got them for a decent price. overall is a matter of opinion, but they are nice to have and both sets of katanas are comparable. I often let other nins i trust try them out to see for themselves

here's a short (77 fights) parse with ws avg in it. i'm thinking this is from sometime in early january all 4 of those melees are ninjas, acadi is a bard and thaesus is a rdm

note that all 4 of us have since gotten better gear so i'm sure everyone's jin's parse higher now.

and if you want to see what not having a suppanomimi does for xp, look at my parse in comparison to the rest (fuck you abyssal earring)

So out of the two, you believe Unji is better then Unsho? Thats' good to know, considering Unji is ALOT cheaper then Unsho. So now that you sold Unji do you feel Senji/Fudo is better or just that you dont have the gil to buy Unji back?

Considering this being a 13% return from Senj/Fudo (14% is highest DA return) and only debuff being Dia2 and only MinuetIV Beserk I guess you can get it over 1700 with warcry, soulvoice minx2 fullcrit jin 14% however high jins are luck based and if you think high jins matter in Deco/Aura pt's you're wrong of course they raise your average but what really matters for a ninja is Dot. So fast swings with Crits is top priority.

I use Senj+Fudo myself I like them both and if I would trade something it would be fudo for Unji.

Btw guys talk about decoparties I Don't understand why ppl doing those when Auras are so much better

I still like senj/unji better then senj/fudo simply because of the +dex/str in offhand helps the ws damage on all hits where the fudo just helps the 1 hit in the offhand. Also has better DoT as long as you have the attack gear to back it up.

And of course ws aren't special on decorative weapons, especially now with breeze gorget and brutal earring out most people i xp with break 1400 at least twice a fight. If you go back before brutal earring came out it was rare to see 1400 which is why the earring is so good.

Twolves, does breeze gorget affect jin that dramatically? Should i macro out peacock charm for breeze gorget for JIN? Or keep the spike necklace macro'd? I was under the impression that gorgets were crap so I never really attempted to get one...
