And for about 6 months there was a Sea post that had been stickied, when the Jailers were a new thing everyone was figuring out.

This is a popular LJ post of a LOT of nice and detailed information on Sea and the Jailers and other NMs. My LS hasn't started the stuff quite yet so I can't exactly call to the vailidity of some of the strategic information though I do know it is rather incomplete, but it is still definitely a good reference.

Does JoL charmga like other UFO? And what would be minimum you would suggest for the fight, most ls I see beating JoL have 40-50 but would it be safe to try with 30 (including 8-10blms)?

We killed it with 30ish it can definatly be done with 20-25 if you have all the right jobs tho. He just sits there being retarded the whole fight :\

No, he's actually really easy but unlike most NM's I don't think there's too many variants to how you can kill him. I could straight-up tank him on my RDM with no problem really. He doesn't "do" anything.

The fight is won or lost on how quickly you kill the adds.

Killed prudence today got Sixth Virtue making us 1/1 on it (YAYYYYYYY) Anywho it didnt glitch on us and it was quite a difficult fight we had about 24 people. What we did was we had two nins kite and two plds straight up tank then we realized having the plds kite would be better. Killed first one with alot of people died then the 2nd opened mouth and had perma triple attack. The second one was fairly easy with 2 PLDs and 3 NINs kiting it everyone else nuking and such. Fight was MUCH MUCH easier with one of them rather than two. TWO = JHARRDDDD from what we experienced. Anyways thats just what i observed

We did JoL with 23 people last night. It was retardedly easy. I honestly do not see how a competant LS can wipe to it if they have 5 or more BLMs.

For Love, with 23, we had 3 outside BLMs burn all the summons. We used 3x PLD tank in a triangle formation on the outer brim of his big circler top. They only get hit with spells that way. Had 1 DRK with kraken, a couple SMN, and 2 SAM who would SC and 4BLM in the alliance bursting. Was about a 1.5 hour fight.

yeah stay outside of his circle and he wont physically attack at all. only if u go in close to do something like shield bash, he can boost and hit for around 900 dmg.

we do:

it'll move if u run away from it, but if ur around the edge of the cap it only hits u with spells/summons
