I use Zushio/Ohaguro in 40 cap. Can't mule the Zushio, though, and a lot of people chuck their AF katanas.

Shame about it not having special damage properties, I know a lot of ninjas that would kill for a piercing katana. Don't suppose you know about the dagger as well? It looks like a free hawker's knife to me.

I have the dagger as well because it was auto lotted to me after our last four man kill but I've yet to equip it. If I remember I'll take it out of storage and test it out next SE Apollyon but I would imagine it's as you said - a free Hawker's Knife and nothing more.

Also, monks don't suffer nearly as bad from a low damage rating on a weapon as the ninjas or theives/rangers. Personally the dam/delay on niokiyotsunais so unimpressive, I've considered dropping it a couple of times. when I first got it, I was like Sweet I'll offhand it when subbing whm, but it's completely not worth not even in Riverne B, where Yotos blow it away.

Yeah. Dragging Irui, Mimis and BTB down to Phomiuna that day and finally getting Vampirics to drop was the best thing I ever did! Doing SE Apollyon as Monk is one of the most fun things ingame for me because I get damage bonus on first three floors then just outdamage everyone on the top floor weapons anyway. As you said, with the way h2h damage is calculated it's actually more likely to notice the lack of crits+6% and the higher delay speed than the loss of raw damage, at least that's how it is for me. Does suck that counters and kicks are included in the "your weapon skills are still blunt" factor though.

I'm surprised you even contemplated using Niokiyotsuna in #B01 to be honest lol. Nothing can really top dual HQ Yoto's in level 50 caps, not even Buboso in my opinion. I haven't used one (which obviously doesn't give me a good base from which to judge that) but the stats just don't seem to outweigh such a good chance to stick defence -18.5% on mobs.

well I used to farm hippograph feathers, and the idea was, sub whm for regen (no resting) yoto+1(berserk)/Nioki(DA) to make up for whm sub. But as it turns out, Yoto+1 is way better, and subbing whm makw the kill take to long, and riskes to many WSs, which are pretty dangerous solo. So by the time I stopped farming there I didn't do either.

I doubt it, but I've never had NQ, the HQs don't cost enough to warrent a NQ. main reason I like HQ is it makes it an effecive combo all the way to level 60.

Yes, along with every other "Additonal effect: Weakens defence" weapon.

NQ: -12.5%, HQ: -18.5%.

Yeah Vampiric Claws are pretty awesome for things like apollyon SE or JoT. I do 230 dmg per punch on critical hits on slimes (without atk food), but i tried to duo it with whm and ran out of time on boss on 1st floor, not being able to ws sucks. First floor is just not nice to monks

Actually Russta I have a specific question for you. Did any of you guys keep/use a formor tunic ever? I rember back when I did diablos, one of our bards came on mnk (because of floor tiles etc.). We were all really afraid of using sniper rings, so we decide to go w/sushi, so she decided to use Formor Tunic instead of Juju.

Anyway, story goes in two runs she woke up from nightmare instantly once, and from sleepga 2 instantly once. in other words, have you noticed an incredbly strong resist sleep hidden effect on this tunic? I know sushi gives resist sleep, but all mele were using it and only she woke up.

p.s. please don't flame me for not stunning nightmare lol.

0/5 on Eba so I can't say. I had heard a rumour that your Fomor hate is masked while wearing it but a friend of a friend got one and tested it to find out that's not true. I guess it's possible that it has a hidden effect but I think sometimes people just look too hard to find them on items that aren't exactly earth shattering.

I've got a friend who I helped get Fomor Tunic -- I'm quite sure you could take down eba with 2-3 ppl; got her to 45% on a lark with just me and a whm, and I'm not exactly a career ninja -- that I can ask.

Sirilis(BRD/MNK) has it. I more or less asked to see if it had happend to anyone else, perhaps it was just a freak thing. She's in Zenmetsu, but not till after you left I belive.
