    GMs have super logs?

So after trying to MPK some RMT who teleport botted an NM, they call GM on us and get us jailed, after which i have this convo with GM.

What i want to know is how is that possible. The server would have to database position of every person on the server every half second to a second to be able to tell if there had been a teleport bot used. I'd love to see the size of the position logs for me, let alone the other 3000 players playing.

I think GM only have access to the movement you made in the current area, and probably for a limited time. From what I heard, they can also track the movement of a particular player if they have suspicion he is teleporting.
Don't quote me on that tho.

    [Edit]

I don't know what kind of log they keep, but it don't need to be big either. If they arent retarded, it's easy to keep a log of the "fastest movement" or "longest jump". It would only takes a few bytes per players.

Well, the way I think it works is that each zone is it's own cluster and just logs players in the zone. If you commit a crime, they will just pull up the log for that zone, check the player that you are reporting and see if anything funny is going on, assuming they have access to that sort of stuff.

I don't think they have a log for every single player because that would be really really stupid and take up too many resources.

I heared that your X Y Z position are recorded with every /l /s /em /p you do, so it can test the range (if /say will hit you or not). They probably saw an unusual jump?

It would be hard to say anything unless the person talk a lot while warping on really huge distance. It's not likely someone would talk before and after tele-botting.

I wonder if /say are really calculated on server. It would have been easier for them to send /say to the whole zone, and have people filter them on the reception after calculating their position from the other player.

Pretty sure they have the ability to log it but it would be stupid to track it because it would be a lot of work. x y z chances everytime you take a corner, move around etc and lag would leave a lot of "unusual" jumps and positions chances (for example, when you R0 but keep walking, then you come back and are ahead etc)

so they prob track it, but prob don't check it. The way i see it, the ones that get busted for speed hacking / position chance tool always get cought red handed by a GM.

They have logs of all movement violations in a zone.

Lately if you report a warping offense, GMs will ask you for the exact time of the incident, and in which zone it occured. Makes it very easy for them to look it up.

I can dually confirm this answer. Someone I know got nailed for warp-mining in newton, and the GM mentioned seeing "multiple movement violations" around such and such a time. This guy told me he was certain nobody saw him, but he definitely has a few GM calls on him for claimbotting. His account might be flagged?

Why haven't the gilsellers who've been warp botting gotten banned yet then? And i'm sure they get more calls then your friend in any given day of the week.

It's stupid but damn, they punish the wrong people.

i havent noticed too many CGF/RMT whatever actually warping to the mobs, at least the ones that i camp.

i know that some NA/JP do at HNM and such, but for other NM's usually i just see the rmt usin flee or something the same 15seconds that the mob pops. Or they move around and get frantic.

seeing them warp, that is something i havent seen yet. I know a few NA's that CAN warp, but they rarely do at hnm even. The ones that do use it seem to be for travel purposes mainly.

    edit::::
But i do know, if i go with a friend to camp mee deggi or something stupid and RMT comptition was there; if he warps and they gm him, he WILL be suspended if not banned lol. But if we were to do the same to them, absolutely nothing more than "we will look into it" is said and done.

The RMT on Phoenix warp around in Oztroja at Kyahan/Kote NMs. The GMs, surprizingly, don't give a flying monkey fuck.

LS on Siren held Tiamat at 100% for almost 30 minutes with 3 linkshells waiting in the wings for kill. I called the second they pulled because they are known for 4-7 hour tiamat kills.

GM got back with me TWO hours later. Our conversation was "Well, that was 2 hours ago and it's around 80% now." "I see. They are no longer holding but not really killing it either ok w"

Yes...call us the second it happens and we'll arrive in the next 5 hour window, I think SE GM's are employed by Comcast.

Suppose these are the same GMs that don't ban george for botting.

Bribing OO with desynthed subligar isn't the right way to get crimson mask, either.

Bring your shit to ballista Raineer.

Oh wait then you'd probably show up in near full zenith, bitch about how much you're dying to other redmages and bards, then logout midmatch, again.

pvp at it's finest, fuck yes i warp midmatch. I disable a target and scream for my team to go after them and they run around all scattered like idiots. I did 2 ballista matches ever and they both sucked balls. Glad you found something you're actually good at, since the HNM game doesn't go too well for you. Gogogo paladins in crimson, blackmages in dalmatica, and whatever other retarded decisions you make.

    Myanth I presume?
