Obviously the fillers are bad/predictable etc.. But the story is compelling, so little is known about Akatsuki, the other tailed beasts, the WHOLE truth behind Itachi's decision. It gets pretty cool because alot of the stuff is rooted in JP mythology.

Remember that time Naruto was good? I don't.

    Can tolerate DBZ more.

It seems people dislike Dragonball Z for a different reason than I did.

Dragonball Z was FLAT. All its characters were flat. Its plot, its everything. Flat. While Naruto and Bleach are not poetry, they are enjoyable. There are many interesting characters. In DBZ, it was just Goku... with sometimes Vegeta, who was always behind.

You don't watch long series animes for the same reason you watch short ones. You watch them for the same reason you would play a Final Fantasy game. Characters, plot, story, and 'special attacks'. DBZ only had the last one, if you could count it, because by the end, it all looked the same.

Well, anyway... Bleach > Naruto > DBZ.

Oh and... Manga > Anime. By a lot.

In Japan, most anime comes on late night and isn't very popular. With a few exceptions of course. Manga is very big over there, and not just amongst teens either. You will see normal adults reading manga like a book. Most anime is based on is manga predasessor and in most cases the manga produced better. Only really popualr series will ever get a large enough budget to produce good quality animation. Thats why there is a rather large quality gap between the hit series and everything else.

That's another thing I like about cartoons, the language and VA isn't so basic (unless you're watching Cbeebies)...
Justice League is ok, but it doesn't really hold a candle to the show that restarted the DC animated universe: Batman: the Animated Series. Until they started the "new school" art work, it has the most impressive and original animation style that have been used in a comic book ataption since the original Fleischer Superman shorts in the 1940's.

Which Batman are you talking about? There's a couple... are you talking about the new one or the older ones?

Talking about Batman reminds me of Batman of the Future, I liked that too.

The darkly animated one with Dick Grayson as Robin. (Not that I dislike Tim Drake, but the animation style went to crap on that series.)

They show it every Midnight on Boomerang in the US, which is nice because Adult Swim normally has shit on at that time. (The people who made Home Movies need to burn in hell.)

Whoa, really? I thought that Boomerang was just for stuff like Tom and Jerry and old Bugs Bunny cartoons. I didn't realize they showed more modern stuff... *makes a note to email/bug cable company begging for it*

Mai Hime was entertaining to watch but it had some plot issues that even for pure fiction became way too ridiculous.

Boomerang is 99.999999% really old, really crappy cartoons that no one really wants to watch. But at 11:30 PM they show the new He-Man series, Midnight they show Batman: the Animated Series, and 12:30AM they show Superman. Beyond that, I don't think they show anything made after 1975.
