im kind of hoping that when they're finally finished with FF12, the devs can come back and fix FFXI a little.

Maybe that's what kept them so busy, all that time, since the game is almost like an offline FFXI.

I can just imagine when the designers come back to FFXI and look to see what the fill-in team did. They'd look at CoP and be like "WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO TO OUR GAME?!???????????????".

I liked Vagrant Story. Had some of the best 3-d graphics ever seen on the PS and the combat system was pretty in-depth.

What I didn't like about it was the unforgiving learning curve (oops just got hit for 300 damage on all limbs) and the inventory management. Having to carry and swap around like 5 weapons because you'd specifically tuned them to have strengths versus certain mob types was cumbersome.

But Vagrant Story rewarded skill and time investment with making you look like such a badass once you got good at fighting shit.

I didn't like Vagrant Story at all, I liked Vandel Hearts II a lot more. It was just kinda boring and it didn't grab me at all.

I am really looking forward to FFXII, I'm probably one of the only people who was, the only thing really annoying (on other forums) is people mindlessly saying it's a shit game with a shit battle system because they've never seen it before and they want they're boring old button bashing FF's back.

I wasn't interested in it at all, since they released the steaming pile of shit that was.. X-2... and when I saw the trailer... with the female looking hero that looks like a 1/2 retarded blind person dressed him.. like usual... i wasn't interested even more...

but when i saw the demo with the battle system.. thats the thing that made me want to get it.

I think the only way to fix FFXI is to redesign it completely and throw out the old POS that's currently helping to destroy the FF franchise. As nice as it would be to see "fun" patched into FFXI, I think too much work has gone into it the way it currently is.
